Quite easy to stack, nice to see. What do you think? The Italian designer @marioferrarini_studio was inspired by the details, lines, and tools of architectural drawing. The shape of the chair’s metal structure references the refined elegance of the compass, while the coherent and balanced form pays homage to the geometric precision of a draftsman’s T-square. Designed for valencia-based furniture brand @viccarbe. . • Read our online magazine at www.designwanted.com • Tag #DesignWanted for a chance to be feature on our IG page (+561k)

A great example of architecture employed as a marketing tool, influencing the perception of a brand while communicating its values and involving customers entirely. Architectural branding is durable and effective to strengthen the brand perception. Many large corporations across diverse industries have invested in massive constructions to strengthen their image, such as the @bmwwelt , museum and event space in Munich, or the @louisvuittonfoundation , art exhibition space in Paris. This new complex #KashiyamaDaikanyama in Tokyo’s neighbourhood Daikanyama is another example of branded architecture. This pioneering technique transforms the #timber manufacturing process, which usually requires heavy machinery, into a procedure where wood shapes completely on its own. The outcome is achieved exploiting wood’s shrinkage in response to a controlled decrease in moisture content from 22% to 12%. The #wooden components of the 14 meter tall Urbach #Tower are firstly manufactured in a flat state and then altered by the drying process. The Urbach Tower showcases an unconventional construction approach using #sustainable materials which opens up new and unpredictable opportunities in the architecture world. DesignWanted had the chance to interview Dylan Wood, a Research Associate at the @unistuttgart , to learn about the challenges behind the construction of the Urbach Tower, its cost of realization and the future perspectives for self-shaping #wood. . • Read our online magazine at www.designwanted.com • Tag #DesignWanted for a chance to be feature on our IG page (+559k) . From the particular to the big picture. Swipe left to see more of this beautiful landscape, as photographed by @henry_do He wrote: “While visiting the beautiful capital city of Copenhagen in Denmark, I encountered what seems like an alien civilization 👽😱 . To my surprise, these are just small piece of what called, "Colony Gardens", literally a garden space that Danish citizens can rent to grow produces & vegetables. Space is extremely limited if you're living the main city so this is the perfect way to have your own gardens & get back to nature! Owners are allowed to live there between April-October to take care of their gardens (can't grow anything in the winter 😄) What a unique way of contributing to a better planet 🌏 Way to go Danes 👏 🇩🇰” . • Read our online magazine at www.designwanted.com • Tag #DesignWanted for a chance to be feature on our IG page (+559k)

Wave Bench is a seating system that stands upright until "activated" by the user. The Wave seating concept by @_flatlander allows sitters to nestle in place while the surrounding sections flare out softly, giving the more of a hammock vibe than most wood benches offer. Segmented seat sections conform to multiple seating positions changing the form of the bench depending on use. Installed as part of the Preserve Iowa Parklet Competion in collaboration with Walker Coen Lorentzen Architects and Neumann Brothers Inc. How would you rate this interior view from 1 to 10? We published an article about this wonderful #Pentahouse concept by @wamhouse, you can see the link below. It is still in the conceptual phase and in spite of its monumental looks, designed to be a #familyhouse. The body of the structure consists of numerous parts with vertical walls which resembles a pentagon using a minimal design language with subtle traces of 1980’s architectural trend Deconstructivism. The Pentahouse is designed in light grey concrete resembling raw rock. It spreads on a 580 sqmt area with an additional underground space of 142 sqmt. Also, the exterior area of the project follows the geometric leading shape, with gardens designed as pentagons. Imagined atop a 220-metre-high, 55-storey skyscraper, it will be the world first’ infinity pool with 360-degree. Called Infinity London — by @compasspoolseurope — the project is described by the swimming pool manufacturer as "only building in the world to incorporate a 360-degree infinity pool". Containing 600,000 litres of water, it would be surrounded by clear walls made from acrylic. The solution is based on the door of a submarine, coupled with a rotating spiral staircase which rises from the pool floor when someone wants to get in or out. At night time, the pool will be lit up with twinkling lights. Pretty. . • Read our online magazine at www.designwanted.com • Tag #DesignWanted for a chance to be feature on our IG page (+556k)
