🌵 Have you ever been in a wilderness season?⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Maybe you’re in one right now.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It could be a death in the family, an unexpected job loss, or any number of financial, material, physical, or emotional burdens. It can feel like a struggle to survive day to day.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ These seasons are difficult. They push us to our limits. We sometimes wonder if we’ll even make it out on the other side?⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ The greatest temptation in the wilderness is to think that God has abandoned us. It’s easy to look at things from a worldly perspective, and ask “Where is God?”.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ But these times of testing are one of His greatest gifts.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It rarely feels that way in the moment. But the wilderness is where God forges us into the men and women He created us to be.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It’s an opportunity to live by faith and not by sight. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It’s where God’s faithfulness becomes more than just words on a page, or a sermon at church. It becomes our testimony.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ The great missionary Amy Carmichael said this about the wilderness:⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ “Bare heights of loneliness . . . a wilderness whose burning winds sweep over glowing sands, what are they to HIM? Even there He can refresh us, even there He can renew us.” ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ This is a great truth. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Even when we’re in the spiritual barrens, God is there with us. He has promised to never leave nor forsake you. He can make rivers in the wasteland. Renewal and refreshment are at His right hand.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ So whatever you’re going through today, we want to encourage to keep putting your hope in God. He will get you through. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ He will care for you in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land (Hosea 13:5).⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Trust God in the wilderness. ⠀ ⠀⠀ He is faithful.⠀⠀
🌙 For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. - Ecclesiastes 3:1 ⠀ Every life is filled with a diverse collection of events, emotions and experiences. These are the seasons that make up our lives.⠀ ⠀ Some seasons feel wonderful. Like the warm sun on your face after a long winter. All around us things are bursting into life. We feel a sense of purpose, and joy abounds. Life is full.⠀ ⠀ Other seasons are like the desert; we feel barren, aimless, and fruitless. Depression and discouragement can cloud our vision. The pressures of life assail us. We wrestle with discontentment and impatience. We yearn for a season of purpose and abundance.⠀ ⠀ In many cultures, the passage of time is recorded through the phases of the moon. It’s a tangible reminder that time never stands still. The seasons are always changing.⠀ ⠀ But here’s the thing—God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is always faithful. Always good. And His timing is perfect. He has a purpose for you in every season. Nothing is wasted. ⠀ ⠀ So friends, no matter what season you’re going through, it’s not the end of the story. As we put our trust in God, may we press into the season we are in and embrace both the challenges and joy that come with it (Philippians 4:11-13) 😌🙏🏻

❄️ Sin had left a crimson stain / He washed it white as snow⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! - 2 Corinthians 5:17⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. - Romans 6:6-7⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ 🦋 Remember, your identity is no longer in your sin, or in your past, or in the way the world defines you. Your identity is now in Jesus. And in Him, you are transformed, you are loved, and you are a child of God. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed! Friends, remember who you are as you go out into the world today.⠀⠀ Much love, Laura⠀⠀
🙏 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. – Mark 11:22-24⠀ . "We never know how God will answer our prayers, but we can expect that He will get us involved in His plan for the answer. If we are true intercessors, we must be ready to take part in God’s work on behalf of the people for whom we pray." – Corrie ten Boom⠀⠀

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. - Psalm 36: 8-9⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Jesus, I thank you that you have come so that we may have life and life to the full. I want more of you in all areas of my life. You are the fountain of life. I can be easily drawn to fountains in this world that I think would fulfill me but leave me parched and drained.
