🏃‍♀️🏅Completely, undeniably exhausted! My first 13.1! A half marathon for my birthday! Thank you to my family and friends to messaged me along the way! I may not have been able to get back to you, but I saw them and they were exactly what I needed! I’m going to spend the rest of the day recovering because I already hurt all over 😣. . My knee felt great for the first 10k but I could still tell there was some kind of twinge there. At mile 9 it hurt so bad but I took Motrin and kept going. The last 5k was torture! But I feel good now. My toes are tingly and I can’t straighten my knees all the way but I figured you start somewhere right? . 2 mile run today with ZERO PAIN!! I taped up my knee, stretched for a good 20 minutes, and headed out. I’ve been listening to @docontherun podcast and watching out for the signs/symptoms he’s talked about in order to avoid further injury. . Race in less than 4 days!! 😮 Today helped me feel ready.
