PREP DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO HIBERNATE. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been very tired today, BUT this evening I’m really grateful for the busy life I lead, on reflection it’s been such a good weekend so the tired feels are worth it!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Friday I went out out & celebrated a friends birthday, on Saturday I held my posing seminar @kingsgymofficial - I then met one of my fav friends @bilsfitness to train at the new kings gym & grab some dinner (well veg for me with my own chicken but still) & today’s been full of training, client work & creating free content for you guys with the @pro_female_fitness podcast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All boxes have been ticked with prep, food, 50mins cardio, pbs have even been made in the gym, I’ve helped more than 1 person a day (which is always goals) & now it’s finally time to switch off.. I’m 11 weeks out my energy currently feels good most of the time until tonight. I very much enjoy making sure I stay as social on my preps as I can (toward the end I have to schedule things better & ensure I don’t over do it) but I think I do a good job at keeping social & managing work to, it’s what makes me happy.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it can be hard at times I will admit & I do have to say no or pull out of things sometimes like I had to rearrange some plans this evening.. but it’s so very important to me to make effort with work, family & friends, you’re entire life really doesn’t have to stop once your on prep, YES we do have to ensure we’re not out out every night of the weekend, we do need to ensure we catch up on sleep & sometimes we do have to say no because we are to tired.. BUT always ensure this sport adds value to your life & doesn’t take it away & just because your social doesn’t mean you won’t go right to the top either ❤️

11 weeks out. We have a long way to go & a fair amount of weight to drop, 5 weeks in & just 2lbs down, feeling & looking visibly leaner fluctuating like mad to, BUT when you want something that much, you let nothing hold you back, you focus on the end goal, the positives and you push fucking harder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For my full check in video - physique / mentality / weight / form that I’ve sent to @team_lrf & his feedback head over to the forum on the @pro_female_fitness site 🙌

Fxck rest days..... noooo, they may be the worst day 😴 but they ARE the most needed day after pushing our bodies hard 😈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If your one of these no rest day, must grind, rest days are weak, I feel guilty.. kinda people. STOP. Be kind to your self. Trust me, I admit I’ve been there. (I think a lot of us have) let your body rest & see how much more you can handle in the gym.. & in life 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ with little rest you will run yourself into the ground. You may be okay for a little while but there is only so much the cns can take.. your workouts will be HELLA stronger If you give it the rest it needs, we grow when we recover, we lower the stress in our bodies, we recoup & become stronger = gains gains gains! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To be the best version of your self & of course to assist in optimal performance.. we must ensure we tick EVERY box, recovery, sleep, stress, training & nutrition. You miss one frequently you mess the system up. Having all of these boxes ticked as often as you can WILL have a huge benefit on not only your physique but your mental & physical performance in all things! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here is my reminder to you to.. you are not weak for needing rest, you are stronger 💫

Scrolling through my photos from last year at the @pca_official @bodypowerexpo & I came across this sleepy checkin photo with @team_lrf which is mid transition I must add 😴😂 “BUT” I can’t wait to see what improvements we’ve made this year 😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve only had 4.5 months off (the longest I’ve ever had off actually) but I’m the strongest I’ve ever been with pbs weekly at the moment to so I’m praying I’ve made some sort of gains... I was really happy with my physique last year so I’m sure I will again be very happy this year to. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ we always have areas we want to improve on of course but always pick out the positives in your self as hating/putting your self down won’t get you anywhere.. the hard work will, so we must keep appreciating our mental & physical achievements along the way ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ this sport is a long & never ending journey after all & we always want more of our selfs, just live in the now, stop stressing & wishing, enjoy the journey & put the work in through both improvement season & when cutting.. when you look back it’s so satisfying to see how far you’ve come from when you started - I never thought I could look like this when I started!! 🤷‍♀️🙏 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Posing shoes @kompakwomen 👠

Am I happy with where I’m currently at? Weight wise, no (I’ve dropped 1lb in 4 weeks) am I going to let it stop me, Am I going to moan about it? No! ..I’m going to keep pushing & keep pushing my self to the next level daily. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This sport doesn’t do excuses, half assed effort, It won’t get you anywhere moaning, skipping workouts, skipping cardio, taking the easy route (lifting lighter, cardio with no effort).. if your in this sport you WORK. When your body says no, your mind makes the move for you! ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Feeling tired today? Not had the weight drop you were working so hard for? Guess what.. if your consistently putting in the effort everyday it will come! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Look back 1 week ago, do you remember that week? That hard day? The day you scales didn’t drop? Probably not... it’s out of your control now, instead work on living in the moment & controlling the now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ NOW is the only moment that matters.. ask your self, are you going to dwell on your past & let it effect your now? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The judges don’t care about how hungry or low your food is, your cardio, how early you have to wake up, how tired you are, how you have to miss out on socials, if you’ve got the sniffles. If your having a hard day, how many hours you work a week ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They care about what is displayed in front of them, they will see your excuses. So ensure you have none to show & none to personally feel. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If your making excuses more than your working for it, your not enjoying it.. own up to it, accept it, change it, or stop & reevaluate your goals. This process works much better when you are actually in love with the grind, in love with the sport - all of it (more days that not) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This sport isn’t for everyone, but it can be if you want it to be. Let your past excite you for your future.. one thing I love about throw backs is the fact I know it’s impossible not to have improved.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been speaking to a few people about this recently so thought I’d give you my thoughts on it as I’ve been there to.. SO When in offseason or entering the cutting phase or in general really, it can be difficult to see & even remember what you’ve already built & the progress you’ve made underneath the layers of healthy body fat you’ve gained (which you’ve now actually added to).. this can definitely play a trick on the mind, all of a sudden it can kind of feel like you have lost muscle or you haven’t made progress, however this is a mind game & it wont be the case your just looking smoother & Fuller from the layers of bf! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SO, if you’ve been eating more, training hard, your feeling stronger & you’ve gained some bodyfat, you’ve been in a surplus, so well done (you’ve achieved all the goals of the other side of this sport).. that’s the best way to grow muscle & make improvements.. your going to come back better! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When dieting for a show it doesn’t matter what you look like now don’t be so hard on your self, keep following your coaches plan, keep working hard in the gym, try not to over think things, keep grafting towards that special day you step on stage.. enjoy the process, focus on the positives instead of picking on your self, I guarantee you will look back & will have progressed more than you thought you could.. keep pushing ❤️ #flexfriday

Show day June 2017 British finals, that I won as an amateur & turned pca pro, June 2018 which was my first international win also with the pca - both days that carried a level of doubt... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whatever you do, don’t stop, even when you doubt your self. Just keep going, keep trying, keep working hard.. I’m excited to see what 2019 brings now at 12weeks & 5 days out from Amateur Olympia in Alicante & really can’t wait to document it all with you, I’m talking about self doubt here because we all experience it some days & in making this decision to compete with another federation I feel like a complete newbie I’ve had hella self doubt to, but although it’s been there.. @pca_official Worlds taking 5th place❤️ ..Champions are not the ones who always win - champions are the ones who get out there and try HARD. And try harder the next time. And even harder the next time. 'Champion' is a state of mind. Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday or a champion again someday because for every “set back” there is a learning.. & you can sure as hell guarantee there’s always going to be a comeback 🏆💭
