Need some Middle-splits inspo ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ check out this superset. . . Lots of my online clients have the goal of achieving a split, middle split, pancake, etc. . The first I try to make clear is that mobility training (coaching/Online Kinstretch Classes/etc) is sooo much more then just getting into a cool looking position. Itโ€™s about moving like we are supposed to and feeling free, strong and in control of our body! . . Yeah with these abilities achieving certain position is easier and will most likely come as a by product. So the first thing we want to do is working on fundamental joint capacity and prepare peopleโ€™s bodies for the input it gets on a regular and/or daily basis. The rest, the initial goals of achieving something beautiful as a split, comes later on. Once people get into it, they understand why. . . Question: would you rather be able to do ONE cool position OR would you rather move pain free, with good range of motion, freely, strong and with control over your body? . Ps: Iโ€™m not saying you shouldnโ€™t have this as goal, just saying that it shouldnโ€™t be the first priority if your body needs urgent โ€œtreatment/fixingโ€ in other areas first! . . Far too often we like to train and do the things we are good at, but when it comes to improving especially the weak links we have to step out of our comfort zone and do the things we arenโ€™t good at.
