⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last time I took a picture with this guy was back in 2012. It was back when phones took terrible pictures, just good enough to see what was going on. We signed up for a trip to climb the mountain Mont Blanc in France 15,781 feet / 4,810 meter tall. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Funny story after spending 2 weeks in the alps I had also signed up for a local Crossfit team competition in Denmark. So immediately when we came down from the mountain we had to jump in the car and drive the 14 hours back to Denmark. I survived on coffee and energy drinks and made it just in time for the competition. I believe we even ended up taking first. It was one hell of a good time and hopefully I’m going back sometime soon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since 2012, while I’ve been playing around over here in the states, my good friend @jespr90 has become a chiropractor. If you are ever in Odense then stop by @tidenskiropraktor for a good bodywork appointment! I was lucky enough to get my back fixed last time I was there.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well that was fun!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @rogueinvitational came and went by super quick. Ended up in a 10th place which might not seem like a great performance, but I am beyond satisfied! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The last couple of months I’ve been dealing with some more severe back issues and haven’t been able to lift and train as I used to. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On top of that I’ve also been dealing with some visa issues and wasn’t sure if I could get into the country for this competition or even for the @crossfitgames. Therefore the motivation to train hard has been taking a hit for some time now and I’m going to be the first to admit that I’m not where I want or used to be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But the fact that I was able to get through the whole weekend without withdrawing was a success in itself. To then take 10th place against a stacked field of top athletes and to no longer worrying about whether I can get into the country or not gets me fired up to train hard again. Back is still not fully healed, but it’s slowly getting there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you @roguefitness for putting on a great competition. It’s impressive to see what you’ve built and created over the years and to be a part of the first #rogueinvitational was an honor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last, thank you to my sponsors @niketraining and @bearkomplex for the continuous support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📸: @concept2inc
Having a dream won’t change the world. Sharing one will. #JustDoIt ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔈: Sound On
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A few weeks back, pre visa issues when I was still allowed inside the US, I hit 320 lbs. for this little complex. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am signed up for the @rogueinvitational to compete as individual this next coming weekend but as it seems right now I might not get my visa in time to make it back. Definitely sucks! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @bearkomplex @niketraining
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Good times at the meridian Regionals last year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I sure miss Regionals but I might actually miss the haircut even more. I’m debating whether or not that should be the wedding haircut.... Thoughts? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @bearkomplex knee sleeves & grips!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know this post is a late, but as you might know life has been crazy at the moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hard to smile here when @crossfitmayhemfreedom beats you in every single workout. Lots of takeaways over the course of the weekend at @asiacrossfitchampionship. No where near where we need to be, but I know the whole team is looking forward to getting back to work so we can pull everything together for Games in three months.
