Just over 12 months ago, it was time for me to hit the “reset Button” I was sick and tired of being tired.. I was feeling anxious regularly. I look back now and I see a person whose stress levels were off the chart!! I had no energy and I was feeling unmotivated. The thought of getting exercise.. well let’s just say, that never entered my mind 😉 Today.. I am feeling so energetic, I want to exercise, I sleep so much better and I don’t spend whole day looking for a chance to take a nap. Food is made of 4 components 𝒫𝓇𝑜𝓉𝑒𝒾𝓃, 𝐹𝒶𝓉𝓈, 𝒞𝒶𝓇𝒷𝑜𝒽𝓎𝒹𝓇𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓈 & 𝒲𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇. If you take one of these away you have to replace it with something else. Eg: Fat Free, No Fat, Low Fat.... when they remove the fat it is replaced with SUGAR 🤦‍♀️ What this does is sparks the blood sugar roller coaster and leaves us feeling unsatisfied and eating more sugar resulting in further weight gain as opposed to weight loss Fat helps us to feel satisfied and full however we go through stages where the craze is eat fat free, no fat, low fat and you will lose weight whereas the reality is completely opposite. PART 2 : L'hypoglycémie, c'est quoi ? . Même si aujourd'hui j'essaie de ne plus tomber en dessous de 50 mg/l, avec la force de volonté et de l'entraînement, je peux me lever et aller chercher quelque chose à manger ou boire même à 30 ou 20 mg/. Si je peux, vous le pouvez aussi~ . LES CONSÉQUENCES . Ce qui m'amène à parler des conséquences de l'hypo, une hypoglycémie légère peut laisser notre entourage confus, à cause d'une grande sensibilité, nervosité ou d'une difficulté à communiquer correctement. Vous aurez sans doute besoin d'un temps de pause pour récupérer, ce qui causera des retards si vous avez un projet ou un rendez-vous. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, les bonnes personnes et celles que vous aurez averti à l'avance comprendront. Dans le cas d'hypoglycémie sévère, en dessous de 50 mg/l, il est impératif de prendre rapidement une source de glucides à action rapide comme des raisins secs, du jus de raisin ou du miel, si vous avez du mal à mâcher , et de ne pas rester plus de 30 minutes avec cette glycémie très basse, car c'est là que commence les dégâts cérébraux. En effet, l'hypoglycémie sévère a les mêmes conséquences que la prise exagérée d'alcool, cela détruit les neurones qui ne peuvent plus être récupérés. C'est pourquoi, je vous conseille vivement d'avoir une boîte de Glucagon avec vous, au cas où. . MAIS POURQUOI VEUX-TU AVOIR PLUS D'HYPOGLYCÉMIE POUR ÉQUILIBRER TON DIABÈTE SI C'EST AUSSI DANGEREUX ? . En fait, pour réduire le taux HbA1c à 7%, qui est la moyenne des glycémies de 3 mois, il faut faut que je compense les hyperglycémies que je fais avec des hypos. Mon but étant de rester dans la moyenne pour pouvoir être plus productive, je ne veux pas trop descendre en dessous de 70 mg/l. Du coup, quand je parle d'hypos, ce serait plus entre 51 et 70 mg/l, car même si je ressens les symptômes, je peux toujours réaliser des choses sans avoir les dégâts cérébraux ou me sentir dépendante. Il m'a fallu donc réfléchir à un moyen de monter ma glycémie de ce taux là à la normal, sans aller encore dans l'hyperglycémie. 🤔 C'est la que j'ai réfléchi à des moyens naturels (voir mon second post) 😉

Pour faire court, c'est un faible taux de sucre sanguin et une lecture inférieure à 70 mg/l; cependant, certaines personnes éprouvent de légers symptômes d’hypoglycémie à un niveau légèrement supérieur à celui-là. On parle d'hypoglycémie sévère lorsque la glycémie est inférieure à 50 mg/l. La plupart des personnes diabétiques connaissent des épisodes d’hypoglycémie de temps à autre. . LES CAUSES . D'après mon expérience de 20 ans, les hypoglycémies sont principalement dû à : - une injection d'insuline trop élevé - une mauvaise planification de l'insuline lente (basal) qui agit quelques heures après l'injection et peut mener à un coma hypoglycémique en pleine nuit. - un repas sauté - une mauvaise estimation de la quantité de glucides fournie par les aliments - un aliment hypoglycémiant ( comme le thé au gingembre 😉) - une activité qui nécessite beaucoup de concentration ( dans mon cas, les travaux manuels comme la broderie) - une activité physique intense - le stress et l'anxiété . LES SYMPTÔMES . (Voir les images) Il faut être à l'écoute de son corps pour bien les reconnaître avant de faire une hypo sévère et de ne plus pouvoir se soigner par soi-même. Pensez à avoir une une source de sucre à action rapide et à informer une personne autour de vous pour qu'elle vous aide. Plus on est en hypo, plus on perd en autonomie. Mais par expérience, je peux vous dire que vous êtes capable de gagner en autonomie petit à petit. Tempeh With Spicy Sauce (Serves 3) . Ingredients . A) 300 grams tempeh, cut into bite size cubes and then halved 1 1/2 tablespoons nutritional yeast 3/4 tablespoon dried parsley 3/4 tablespoon tamari 3/4 tablespoon onion powder 3/4 tablespoon garlic powder 3/4 tablespoon chilli sauce 3/4 teaspoon sesame oil 3 tablespoons of water . B) 100 grams grape tomatoes, halved 6 basil leaves, chopped 1 small brown onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and diced Juice of one lemon wedge 3 spring onion leaves, chopped 1 green chilli, sliced . Mix A) and transfer to oven for 20 minutes @ 190 C. . Blend B) and cook for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and thick. Pour over baked tempeh. . Serve with basmati rice and salad (four-leaf, grape tomatoes, avocado, broccolini, and green beans). .
