It’s hard to believe that not long ago I use to be 115lbs. The so called “love of my life” and his friend both of them personal trainers told me I would look perfect if I would get down to 115Lbs so I made it my goal I wanted to look PERFECT for him so anyway after ending up with eating disorders and still getting cheated on 😡2yrs ago I decided to not give a F*CK about what HE wanted I decided I wanted to be the opposite of what he made me believe I needed to look like to be SEXY I wanted to be STRONG💪🏽,MUSCULAR and CURVY 🍑🍑 so I started training hard, deadlifting and eating a shit load of protein 🍳🍗🥚🍖 and some beer 🍺😉 and now at 146 I have never felt better about myself I love every curve on my body it’s been a lot of HARD WORK but I’m so glad I stayed dedicated to achieving MY goal #loveyourself . . . . #Fitness #Women #Fitlife #Abs #NYC #Fit #Training #Shelifts #Fitnessmodels #Shesquats #FitMom #Momsthatlift #Fitnessshoot #Fitnesspics #Fitchick #Fitnessposts #Fitfam #Momswholift #fitmommy #Muscle #girlslift #strongmoms #crossfit #crossfitgirls #crossfitmoms #deadlift

During my pregnancy with Camden I knew I wanted to capture all the stages - the highs and the lows when it comes to growing a baby, birthing a baby and everything that comes with it. Our bodies are incredible. What we as women are capable of is incredible. 🙏🏻 —— I almost didn’t post the image on the bottom left (2 weeks postpartum) because if I’m going to be honest...it’s a bit scary 🙈. There’s no hiding the painful milk boobs, I needed REAL sleep in the way that you need water to survive and no amount of coffee or eye cream would have saved me during this postpartum “phase”...or blur if you will. 😴😴 —— When I took the top photo at 39 weeks pregnant and then the bottom photo at 2 weeks postpartum, at the time I was thinking, “Why on earth would you want to do this to yourself”? ➡️ I wasn’t feeling proud of what my body could do at that time, but looking back now, almost 8 months later, I’m proud as hell and I’m so glad I took these photos in all their glory. Now I look back and I no longer see a sleep deprived, scary momma, but a body that I LOVE because it brought Camden into our world. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 —— And my fitness friends and work friends know I’m a person who likes to track progress...I like numbers and goals and the photo on the right is from today. My last day as a 34 year old 😉. I love my fitness/crossfit community and everything it has brought into my life before, during and after babies. I know there has been a big push lately for anti-dieting and I get it. I do. There is a line between wanting to lose weight and being crazy obsessed and going overboard. And that line shouldn’t be crossed. But this isn’t about that. Because even though I get that? I also get this: Not being able to keep up with your friends on a bike ride. Being called fat. Feeling self conscious about your weight at age 10. Crying in a dressing room. Having a closet full of clothes that don’t fit. Being the slowest person on the team. Hiding in pictures. Faking sick to avoid whatever physical activity is before you. Guys. I get it. And as much as you can still love yourself regardless of your size, you can also feel really crummy when your weight is a thing that holds you back. There is so much talk of love-yourself-as-you-are-your-weight-doesn’t-define-you which I AGREE WITH! But I also agree with taking care of yourself. I agree with working out. Hard. Every day. I agree with vegetables. I also agree with ice cream! But also vegetables. Lots of them. I agree with doing what you need to do to make yourself happy and not just physically! But mentally and emotionally too. I believe in positive affirmations. I believe in small changes. I believe in taking things one day at a time and doing what you have with what you can. I started with YouTube workouts in my living room. I started with eating more whole, nutritious foods. I started with drinking more water. I started with watching portion sizes. I started small! And then as I got comfortable with one thing, I added in another. You don’t need to make a million changes in a day. You don’t need to get it right every time. You just need to try! Try and fail and try again. Little by little, it adds up. I used to hear people say ‘If I can do it, anyone can.’ And I thought I was the exception to that. But I’m not! And neither are you. I don’t care who you are or where you’ve been or what you’ve done. If you have a goal or a wish or a dream so wild you don’t want to say it out loud, you can do it. It can be yours. Whatever it is, know it can be yours. It’s time to go for it.

Weigh yourself first thing ⏰ in the morning 🌅, after the bathroom 🚽 & before eating or drinking anything 🤭. . 👉NOTICE that this doesn’t say after dinner or after breakfast fully dressed....If really wanna wreck yourself weigh yourself before bed 😖. . SO REALLY. DO IT FIRST THING. And remember that your body weight can fluctuate from day 🔺to day 🔻...the scale is only useful in determining weekly & monthly trends! . YOUR CALIPER READING👌: snag a $10 one off Amazon (Accumeasure Fitness 3000 Personal Body Fat Tester Kit). This’ll tell you that BF % which is great to really measure getting lean. . YOUR WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE💫: THIS IS A RELIABLE INDICATOR OF FAT GAIN OR LOSS. 1️⃣Locate your upper hip bone by placing your hands around your waist , squeezing slightly & then moving fingers down till you feel the top curve of your hips. 2️⃣Then, wrap a tape measure around your bare stomach just above the hip bone. Make sure the tape is parallel to the floor & snug to your body, but not so tight that it compresses the skin. 3️⃣Exhale while taking the measurement, DON’T SUCK IN! . YOUR HIP CIRCUMFERENCE: JUST LIKE THE WAIST, THE HIP IS CORRELATED WITH OVERALL FATNESS. Look in a mirror &identify the widest part of your butt 🍑. Then place the tape measure at this point and measure the circumference. . YOUR FLEXED ARMS 💪. Flex your arm & measure the largest part (peak of your bicep and middle of your triceps). . YOUR UPPER- LEG CIRCUMFERENCE 🍗. Flex your leg & wrap a tape around the biggest part of your thigh and hamstring. . YOUR BODY PHOTOS 📸. Probably the one we dread the most, but honestly they show you change you don’t even see on yourself. Front, side, & back baby. .
