A transformation such as mine took 2 years of sweat, tears, doubt, confidence, self discovery, persistence and determination. Learning patience was incredible hard, as the physical changes didn’t happen as instantaneously as when I lost weight by crash dieting. (Only to gain that weight back the second I started to eat “normally” again.) Reprogramming my brain that under eating wasn’t something to pat myself on the back for. That carbs weren’t the enemy. That weeks of consistency, sweat and routine would lead to months and then years and eventually a transformation to even show you. . If you’re just starting out on your journey or thinking about it... The journey is not easy, even if it might appear that way. I’ve just come to enjoy and even love the process, which you can too. All the hard work. The pain, the gain. Because believe me there has been, and will be, both. I’ve been too sore to walk or laugh, injured my knee, even dropped a weight on my foot once 🤣...but all of the pain is beyond worth the gain. Physically, yes, sure. But proving to yourself that you are way stronger than you ever gave yourself credit for, is the biggest and most thorough transformation.

It did crack a little in the oven so I’ll work on perfecting the dough recipe but it tasted really good. This year I decided to take on a new challenge. Something that’s totally out of my comfort zone. Swimming. Yup. I’m not a swimmer. Never have been. In fact, I don’t like swimming pools really. They wig me out. I decided to do it and I signed up for an adult swim class. Turns out the level I thought I should be in, isn’t. I’m actually better than I thought. They moved me up a level! 🙌 I just came out of the pool after swimming length after length and I’m completely spent. What a workout!! My ultimate goal is to compete in the @vulcantinman this June. UPDATE! _____ I mentioned 2 months ago I was going to add Progessence Plus to my nightly routine. And I am so happy I did! _____ My skin hasn’t been this clear and smooth since before kids. My hormones were whacked out from #momlife. _____ All I do is put 2 drops on my forearms before bed and rub in. So easy! I’m not constantly worrying that people are staring at my pimples anymore and can go out without having to cover up any zits🙌🏼 _____ I will say I did breakout still in the first month. So as with anything consistency and sticking to it is key. The results are worth it!

I’ve had a bit of a stomach bug the last couple days. Spent all day yesterday in bed, mostly sleeping. Slept in this morning too to give my body some more time to recover. . Starting feeling better at the end of the day and decided to push play and see if I could dig deep enough to make it through my 20 minutes. . It wasn’t my best workout ever, and I modified where I needed to, but I made it through. . I would’ve made so many excuses in the past. Thankfully, my journey hasn’t only been about strengthening my body, but also about strengthening my mind and it definitely paid off today.

Holding a plank while your husband takes pictures is much easier in theory 😅 I’ve been trying to prioritize my fitness again and so far I’ve managed 3 workouts this week! My goal is to do 4 to 5 workouts per week (2 cardio and 2-3 targeted exercises), but the past few months I’ve done 1-2 workouts per week so 3 is an accomplishment for me 🙌🏻 What’s your favorite type of workout?
