500x2 475x3 Been trying to work up to pushing a little bit heavier weight. Was supposed to hit 500x2 a few weeks back, but everything went wrong leading up to that lift that day. Hit 475 for a triple (2nd clip) and it moved well so decided to go for 500x2. My goal was to hit 500 for 3 today, but I told myself in my head I wasn’t going to hit it for 3. That was a big mistake because after the 2nd rep, I totally felt like I could have easily hit it a 3rd time. Racked it instead...that’s what the wrong attitude gets you. Never doubt yourself. Soooo...500x3 will be coming soon. Going to failure nine and a half months post emergency c-section isn’t wise lifting. Finding heavy but manageable singles with an emphasis on proper technique gets the go-ahead though. But....also had my first fall over because of a clip pedal issue — so I can check that off too! Got asked a question today “ in weather like this why don’t you run on a treadmill “. ... treadmills aren’t running. You pop off the ground to raise your heart rate. You apply no force to propel you forward and don’t have to fight gravity nearly as much. You can literally hop up n down on a treadmill and complete distance. You want to get fast in your sport then go run fast. Force to ground applies in every major sport on the planet.
