Day 110/365 Running One More Mile Against MS - Another really fun day playing in the sun with the family. Little J has got his sprint across the garden to high 5 the gnome, do a burpee and then run back down to a keen 8 seconds! 🏃‍♂️ 💨 • • Just the short run today. Legs definitely feeling it after some decent mileage this week and running around after the kids. Hope to top up tomorrow to make 40 miles for the week and then re-set and go again Monday. • • 2 weeks to MK half marathon and feeling quietly confident. One more week of solid training needed and then it’s taper week (also we’re on our holibobs on the Norfolk coast for a week come Friday!!) • • Now my foot spa does not scream professional nor athlete, but i don’t care, it was everything I hoped it would be 🤣 it will definitely be a new aspect of my recovery! I no longer have feet like a Gruffalo!

Protien is an essential macronutrient that we require for bodily function. Although what is the truth when it comes to dosage? Bro science says " Bro, you gotta make sure you consume atleast 1.5 - 2 grams per pound of body weight to gain. Trust me bro, you will see the difference". Now if you believe in bro science, then I'm sure you have fallen into this trap. Well be prepared to have your paradigm shattered. SCIENCE shows, that our bodies require 0.7 - 0.8 grams per pound of body weight. I would even say that if you are trying to put on some lean mass a little quicker then normal, you could stretch as far as 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. These are parameters assuming that you are an active individual. If you are not however, you should stick to 0.5 grams per pound of bodyweight. Remember guys , having protien every meal is still important, although overconsumption can have much more adverse effects than you bargained for.
