Weight should be light but you will feel the burn 🔥

3.5 weeks out and hit a new low weigh in. FEELING GOOD 😎 (thank you to everyone that sent messages saying to feel better and giving home remedies!) ••••• I truly feel so fulfilled in all aspects of my life. I feel more in touch with myself than I ever have. I am loving every part of this process through prep. I’m so glad I choose to do this during this part of my life. It has allowed me to completely open my mind. During the struggles it had shown me new strengths in myself. During my highs the feelings are so surreal it is as if I am in an out of body experience. ••••• The stage will be amazing but I do this for the days like today. Where I can look myself in the mirror and smile at the person I am becoming everyday. There is nothing wrong with being your biggest fan. It does not mean you are an egotistical or bad person. When you are thriving in your life and living to your potential that energy is only going to rub off to others around you and help lift them higher as well. Some cannon work with my boy @diondre_frank this morning, them bad boys can never be big enough.⁣ ⁣ -Close Grip Bench, you want your arms about shoulder with apart and push through the inside of the hand to really focus on using your triceps and not your chest. ⁣ ⁣ -Ez Bar Curls, the eccentric part of the lift(negatives) is just as important as the concentric. Challenge yourself by not swinging and feeling every rep⁣ ⁣ -Cable V Bar Curls/Extensions, this is an exercise @diondre_frank showed me and I’m glad he did. I’m always looking for new ways to challenge the muscles and this definitely got the job done and then some. Squeeze on every rep⁣ ⁣ -Farmers walk, the forearms go way underworked most of the time because we feel as if we get enough with our other lifts. They need love just like any other muscle and this is a great way to get it in. I like to go about 25-30 yards per round. ⁣ ⁣ Halfway through the week, there’s still time to make this one a stepping stone for your next week. Have you ever wondered that if the way you are curling works on your entire biceps and utilizing it to the full extent or not? Here lies the truth. In elbow flexor group, i. e. known as biceps to the common man, has 3 muscles in it- 1. Biceps Brachii 2. Brachialis 3. Brachioradialis All these 3 brothers help us to bend the arm, on an average we can bend our forearm from an extended position to around 140°. While doing biceps curl, we focus on the biceps brachii mucle, and it has 2 functions- > forearm supination >> elbow flexion So, to train the 1st function we need to add that while doing curl. OK, now why gripping like that. What's the disadvantage in the conventional grip that distributes the weight evenly in both sides? Gripping in the middle position won't give you any challenge to the supination function. We need to grip in the outer side of the dumbell so that while doing curl with supination it becomes more challenging and it's worth it. Remember you need to do supination throughout the movement. When you truly focus on the muscle being worked you are essentially recruiting neurons to stimulate as many muscle fibers as possible to that specific muscle(s).
