Yesterday, I had a really bad headache and overall just felt like 💩 I was really down on myself because I missed yoga class while I was sleeping off my headache😩 but my training session today made up for it! We are all on our own journey and we need to remember to not beat ourselves up when we have a bad day. Here's a little strategy I use to train biceps: Train each head independently of the other. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The long head is targeted with exercises that require the palms to face inward in a neutral position. Hammer curls and cross body curls are a great choice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The short head requires the palms to be facing upward during the concentric phase of the exercise. Preacher curls and dumbbell bicep curls are a great starting point here. Superset exercises that target each head with slow and controlled movements with a slight emphasis on the peak contraction to maximize results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not saying this will work for everyone, but it's worked for me and hopefully it will work for you as well 💪🏽💪🏽 #professor

Here's a quick little secret that I use to develop detail and size to make sure no t-shirt is safe: Isometric contractions pre and post sets. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Contract your triceps as hard as you can for 10-15 seconds before jumping into your set. Really squeeze and feel the muscle engaged. Once the 15 seconds are up, rep out your set with slow and controlled movement. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once the set is complete, go back to the Isometric contraction and hold until failure. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I like to use Isometrics as my "rest" period prior every set. If you love sleeve busting pumps, then I encourage you to try it. Works for me, hopefully you get some benefit from it as well 💪🏽💪🏽👊🏾 #professor

Quick tip: Curls 💪🏼🔥 • To keep tension on the bicep, try to eliminate the shoulder/ scapulas from moving forward. Make a big “C” motion with your hands, starting from the lowest position in which your arms are able to be straight. Bend AT the elbows all the way up through the FULL RANGE of motion, and then SQUEEZE the bicep for 1-2 secs.
