Two months delay, but: Day 26 - Self care. My main selfcare assets are bed and journal. Being fulltime self-employed can quickly take a toll on ones health and social life. I think this is a thing oftenly underestimated, especially when youre just starting out and do everything by yourself. For me this was a long learning curve. To understand i have to delegate tasks, say „No“ sometimes, that i deserve vacations and that my loved ones also want to spend time with me. I was very happy when my cat has been with me in endless hours in front of the screen answering requests, retouching pictures, doing paperworks... Also im so grateful to my partner for demanding attention and dragging me out to move as a counterbalance to all this sitting around. Selling online and working from home might sound nice and easy, but in my opinion some certain personality traits do you a big favor to succeed. I consider being introvert, patient and stubborn the most useful. 😉😉😉 In the beginning of this year, in the final phase of writing my final thesis things got really hard. I got such bad pain in my back from all the sitting, that i started to go for thai-massages. Plain amazing! Each time i think the lady is gonna break my spine but afterwards its so much better. Other things i do to keep me (mentally) healthy is chi gong, meditation, trance dance and chanelling. Finally, a post!! I havent posted much this month, and I'm sorry for that. I PROMISE that there will be much more art to come in the following month of June. Thanks for being so patient, I promise it'll be rewarded :) So this one is a touch-up of a doodle I did for #AMatterofDeathApril It was called "Flayed", and while I was flipping through the sketchbook, it caught my eye as something that could use an outline. Which turned into some stylized line work, into coloured pens, and turned into this!! ~~🎨~~✏~~✒~~ Which one do you enjoy more? The first, which is more minimalistic, with less colour. Or the second? Which has much more colour and "pops" more.
