#Repost @gabkawalec ・・・ [Campeonato Parananese de Powerlifting 2019] 3 lugar, cat até 72kg Squat: 90kg Bench: 52.5kg Deadlift: 137.5kg Total 280kg _______________________________ Sei que todos atletas tem uma história por trás de suas conquistas e derrotas, e eu sou mais uma dessas kkkk Talvez pra vcs estas marcas não são muito expressivas, mas pra mim, que tenho todo ano lesionado, uma vez o tendão de aquiles a outra recente em que quebrei a patela e tive uma contratura no ligamento do joelho, achei que nunca mais iria agachar "pesado" de novo, agachei uma vez antes de competir e acabei batendo meu pr do ano passado e sem dor, os outros dois movimentos um deles mantive e noutro bati meu pr mesmo sem ter me preparado seriamente para o campeonato. The beginning of the year my goal was to bench 315, I have never attempted it, mentally I put a block on that weight. Attempted it, nailed it. . . . I then hit it again last week for 2 after taking over a month off from any pressing movements due to a slight injury in my chest. My goal tonight was 3, I hit 4. . . . Riding that PR high I told myself never again will I put a doubt in my mind, I'll try anything within reason and loaded 365 on the bar and set a new PR by 25 lbs (340 was previous) . . . However it is better than what it has been 🤩 I am full aware I need an MRI; it’s been about 4 years since the initial injury. As a Nurse Practitioner I should be ashamed that I haven’t taken care of this; however I have rehabilitated it and then did something to re- injure it. It gets better on a daily basis as long as I do the correct warm up exercises. It doesn’t hurt while I work out. Hey, random dude, can you record my lift? I’m feeling pumped about lifting 85s. It’s been a while. Catching up on some missing strength since my shoulder started bothering me months ago. Funny enough, a post on powerlifting form helped me improve mine and my clients. Press the feet into the ground to get the glutes working, fire up the erector spinae, depress the scapula to keep your shoulders in a safe position. These muscles work together so now I instruct clients to use them all to keep their shoulders in the right place. Good posture for strength training. Still can’t squat. Still got work done. 3x2 bench with 355. Didn’t move quite how i wanted but I’m so freakin happy!
