Throwing it back to August 11th when I walked into my very first ever bodybuilding show with my girl @mkhendon and meeting @jaycutler 💪🏼 This was my very first show the @jaycutlerclassicva meeting my very first Olympian and experiencing a world 🌎 I didn’t think I would get sucked into this much! This sport has become a part of my life, it has evolved me in ways I didn’t know I was capable of. It has brought a self confidence I didn’t know I had. It has made me so much stronger and fierce 😁 . I took 1st place in Novice and 3rd Overall 🏆 this day! Never would I have thought I would do this well at my first ever show amongst seasoned competitors, but I put in the work and my coach @paulrevelia brought out the best in me 🖤 . There are so many opinions about #bodybuilding and the athletes, but I have enjoyed this sport from day one, I have taken good care of my body throughout my journey, I have listened to my body and I continue to respect my body by taking good care of it. Just a reminder... All those people you follow, watch their videos, try their workouts, buy their programs or who's recipe books you just download... The ones you label as #goals or are your #fitspiration ... That's either their full or part time job to look good, to stay in shape and keep that image. Their life is VASTLY different than yours. Their genetics, lifestyle, means, location, funds and environment is catered differently to allow that life and that body. It's not normal to walk around with a fully chiseled 6 pack 24/7. And odds are if they're constantly posting pics like that, they're old pics from shows or contests when they were dieting down for that. The rest of the people who DO have that reality, work and maintain that to the extreme or have really good genetics that you just can't buy. So remember, this is their job. Their life is so much different than yours. I remember trying to fit an athletes life into my fully booked college and working life... It doesn't work. Why? Because that wasn't really my end goal. I thought that a lean and good looking body would lead to success, acceptance and just pave the way for everything else I wanted in life. But the reality was me focusing on my self worth and what I wanted to do in this life, GAVE me everything I thought would be a byproduct to a lean body; now it's the opposite. Heres a radical thought: When your soul is safe and loved, rather than being pushed to feel unworthy until x, y and z, then everything that was forced becomes easy. Side effects of working with me are: Weightloss Curbed cravings Clearer skin Lifestyle change Consistent exercise Conscious food choices No bloat Side effects to focusing on yourself, seeing your worth, and believing with your whole soul that you are SO worth it now!
