In our Twelve Myths of Health and Fitness we bring you...⠀ ⠀ Day 4 ⠀ ⠀ Steady State Cardio is Best for Losing Weight!⠀ ⠀ Wrong-o! ⠀ While steady state cardio is great for mitochondrial and cardiovascular health, it’s not the most efficient way to lose weight. ⠀ ⠀ I personally love running 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️for distance and endurance. It’s like a meditation time for me. ⠀ So you can absolutely incorporate steady state cardio...just don’t make it your ONLY method! ⠀ ⠀ Why?⠀ Because this can increase cortisol production and may not be the best if your overall goal is fat loss. ⠀ ⠀ The best way to increase fat burning is to add in some HIIT and Resistance Training🏋🏻‍♀️. ⠀ ⠀ By simply incorporating some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and Resistance Training a few times per week you can increase your fat burning capabilities! ⠀ Who’s down for more fat burning in a shorter amount of time 🙋🏻‍♀️⠀ ⠀ When you build lean muscle mass it will give you better results in a shorter amount of time. ⠀ It will also compliment any steady state cardio you enjoy doing. Listen to our Podcast #27 with @mngoldengirl —so much great information! ⠀ ⠀ Does this mean you need a gym? ⠀ Or a whole bunch of equipment? ⠀ NO.
