Roughly 8 lbs above stage weight. It’s been a crazy few weeks. Right after competing I started a new job, had a ton of training, and then jumped right into managing a huge project! • Through all the craziness and adjustments of schedules and lifestyle I’ve still been in the gym 5 days a week to make sure the weight gain doesn’t get out of hand! • Next week as things calm back down I’ll be back on meal prep, and steady posting and sharing workouts and diet!

113.6kg/250lbsx2 failed 3rd rep. Pretty disappointed in myself with yesterday’s dead lifts. But I’m glad I recorded it and was able to find out where I went wrong. My form and set up was all sorts of messed up. Along with terrible sleep the past two days, I managed to muscle up two reps. It’s easy to think that because you put more weight on the bar, you’re doing something right. But that’s not always true (for example: I see it often in squats - where others are proud of putting a ton of weight on the bar but don’t hit depth.) Here I’m not proud of these lifts and will work on getting them right next time. I enjoy and prefer doing all 3 main lifts with good form but do keep in mind when you get into heavier weight - form does break down a bit but this is also where technique and form is the most crucial to focus on during your lifts. Hopefully, this can help you improve your dead lifts. Imo, I think conventional dead lifts has a lot of technique and technicality that goes into it - my first rep my hips raised too early (you need to avoid this to prevent using your lower back and avoid injury), the bar path did not travel in a straight line, and at the end took a long time to push hips through, 2nd lift was a little better because I was using my hips but not engaging my upper back as needed, 3rd lift I failed to reset the bar and the bar was not touching my shins - as you can see if the bar is too far away from you, it makes it difficult to lift. Anyways, hope you can take some of these tips and reminders to help your lifts 👍🏻. • • Coach @anthony_brandon619
