The so-called “best” foods are the ones that help you achieve a caloric deficit, and those might be different for you than they are for me. Of course there are foods that are beneficial across the board. Eating leafy greens is a great idea because they are high volume and low calorie, so you’ll fill up with less calories. Most vegetables will fall into that category and are always a great choice. Celery juice is repulsive, but if you’re the rare breed that actually likes it, then it can be great for weight loss. Not because it has some magic effects on your body, but because it can fill you up, helping you to be in a caloric deficit. Ice cream can help you lose weight too. I’m not saying that adding ice cream to your diet will shed pounds. But if you’re someone who loves ice cream and you torture yourself by NEVER allowing yourself to enjoy it, your weight loss journey is going to not only be miserable, but unsustainable. By allowing yourself to enjoy it as a treat sometimes, it will make your journey much more tolerable, and you’ll actually be happy along the way. Any food can help you achieve weight loss if it leads you to a caloric deficit. Don’t neglect the mental aspect of weight loss. You don’t need to eat twigs and grass to lose weight. Officially back to being a red head 👩🏼‍🦰 it’s been years but I’m loving it💃🏽although it looks different to the colour it’s showing up in the photo to real life 🥴🤷🏻‍♀️ I think it may be from standing under the light??? ANYWAY... Been smashing the gym recently and it really does make me feel better and helps with my mental health in so many ways! I’ve not had the best day today for many reasons but I’m keeping positive as it’s only 11 days till my holiday 🤩🤪 Trained upperbody and some legs yesterday 💪🏼🦵🏼 and just going to do some cardio today as my whole body is acheyyyyy and I want abit of a rest day! 😅

You want to lose weight, be consistent with your calorie deficit. If you aim to get in the gym 3 times a week, get to the gym 3 times a week. _ • Patience - Everybody wants to get to their desired goal as quickly as possible. Guess what, you have to be patient. You will not lose weight or gain muscle linearly. You may see a big change to begin with, it may then slow, be patient and you will hit your goals. _ • Be realistic - You can’t run before you can walk. Baby steps are key, there’s nothing wrong with starting with starting on the lightest dumbbells. You can see from the picture they hit this number Mon to Fri, but massively overate/drank on the weekend. ⠀⠀ Therefore, their weekly average was 2250 calories a day. I didn’t manage to make it to the gym this morning because I was nursing a slight hangover but I felt better by lunchtime so thought I’d do a lil home workout 🏋️‍♀️ . Going to have a chill night tonight and practice some self care because I feel like I need it 😴 my masters is super intense and, as much as I love being busy and out of the house, I also realise the importance of taking at least one night a week to stay in, watch a movie, do a face mask and look after myself! So tonight is going to be that night because I’m busy every other night for the rest of the week 🤣 . Hope you’re all having a fab Thursday 💖

Luckily for us there are 7 days in the week to try to achieve that deficit. . . ➡️if you don’t weight train or do cardio, then the goal is to achieve a caloric deficit of 500 calories per day. . . ➡️if you, and you should be doing weights and cardio, then you can keep a little more food on your plate and use the calories burned from cardio and incorporate those calories into the 500 needed per day. . . ➡️practice both methods, say 250 calories from food and 250 calories from cardio.
