Push Day! A) FLAT BENCH PRESS My bread & butter for building a BIG chest! In most studies I’ve read, the bench press has always been correlated 1:1 with chest size, so BIG bench = BIG chest. Slight powerlifting style arch, once the bar hits your chest, drive through the quads & think UP & BACK with the ascent B) INCLINE HAMMER STRENGTH MACHINE One of my all-time favorite accessories for the chest (as I rarely do cable flyes anymore🤷🏼‍♂️). The upper pec is just as IMPORTANT as the lower portion. Control the weight through a full ROM, slight arch again & I like to think of pressing inward at the top to really focus on the squeeze C) OVERHEAD BARBELL TRICEP EXTENSIONS A slight arch in my back (are you seeing a trend here😝) to help with shoulder mobility issues, if you have trouble “feeling” your triceps on these; hit a 1/2 second pause at the bottom like I do and your mind-muscle connection will be 10x better. Keep the elbows tucked & don’t rotate your arms on the contraction to keep tension on the longhead D) TRICEP EXTENSIONS *PRO TIP* - Use a slightly wavy bar and put your hands on the outsides of it, forcing your elbows to tuck with each rep. The burn will be real🔥 The reason for the sway is to transfer tension throughout the whole ROM. Leaning into the machine keeps my triceps activated at the stretch, & leaning backward emphasizes the longhead better on the contraction (another pro tip😏) E) INCLINE SHOULDER PRESS MACHINE The 2nd overhead pressing motion in my shoulder program. I use these to target add volume to the front delts (my weak point) over the course of a week. Nothing special here, use a just outside of shoulder-width grip & press up with a slight arch in your back F) UPRIGHT ROW/ DB LATERAL RAISE *SUPERSET* I’ve found this to be one of the best burns for my side delts. Upright rows get a bad rap, but when done correctly (with a wider grip and only going to shoulder height) can be a great way to pack some width on your frame. So for this exercise what I'm doing is whenever I extend down to the bottom, on the way up I'll pause for one second and then I let it extend and stretch from the bottom inside of my armpits wear my lats and my tricep connects. What that does is it exaggerates to stretch on the way up and lets you still contract on the way down. Try this out, thanks! One the handles. The handles help you adjust as you go up and down whenever you're squatting. As you go down you can push up and as you go up you can pull down. What that does is it helps you adjust the bar from the from the high bar setting to a mid-bar setting. Knowing where to adjust your bar will definitely help your balance alleviate knee pain and lumbar issues whenever you are squatting. Do you thing I like about it is the structure and basically the padding so the structure of it as you can see it allows your body to accept and distribute the weight that just in one area of your neck but your shoulders as well and what this does is it helps you focus more on your form and come down with a weight versus being locked with your hands up there on the bar in your shoulder started tweak and secondly the pads pads help you not bruise your upper neck so overall is a very good equipment to have if you see one try it let me know how it feels thanks for watching.
