💢GANA MASA MUSCULAR 💪🏼 Qué es el entrenamiento oclusivo En un primer lugar puede parecer que limitar el flujo de sangre a los músculos mediante bandas de compresión es un sinsentido, pero lo cierto es que el entrenamiento en oclusión se basa en este principio y, nos guste o no, este entrenamiento ha proporcionado resultados sólidos en determinados tipos de población. El entrenamiento en oclusión restringe el flujo de sangre de manera parcial para reducir principalmente el retorno venoso, es decir, la vuelta de la sangre desde los músculos en este caso hasta el ventrículo derecho del corazón. Dado que las arterias tienen un mayor diámetro que las venas, son capaces de seguir transportando sangre hasta los tejidos que la demandan, pero sin embargo las venas son incapaces de devolver toda esa sangre desoxigenada hasta el corazón, y lo que ocurre entonces es que sentimos una congestión muy alta. En cualquier caso, algo importante que tenemos que conocer es que esta hipertrofia se produce principalmente en fibras de contracción lenta (también conocidas como fibras rojas, oxidativas o de tipo I), y no en las de contracción rápida, que son las que habitualmente crecen en tamaño. Por un lado tenemos que tener en cuenta que estas fibras tienen menor potencial de crecimiento, pero por otro lado también es cierto que es relativamente difícil generar hipertrofia en estas fibras, y este tipo de entrenamiento puede ayudarnos a ello.
