Patience with the Pull Clusters 3 × 345*~315~315 (8 sec rests) *first set 340 for first single accidentally My warm ups were slow as hell so I had a feeling that I was going to have to really be as specific and intense with my brace as I could, and trust that if I just kept pulling, they would move. They did. It was nice to have a session where I had to really work hard to do something I knew I could do, and be forced to embrace the fact that it was a hard day. It made me pay attention and stay in the zone. The instinct at the start of a hard deadlift is sometimes to start yanking and break position, but with practice ideally you'll learn how to commit to the position and push through the most effective way - the way you've trained. Don't start trying weird shit and let your position change much mid lift. New PR | Sumo Deadlift | 6x350 lb/159 kg | RPE 7 I had the opportunity today to visit a private gym nearby me called @armsracegym — It was quite different from any other gyms I’ve been to. The garage-styled gym was very small and all the equipments were cramped together like Tetris. It shouldn’t have been a shock to me, but the gym was primarily built for bodybuilding. As expected, since the gym is own and operated by @smith.julian — Who I sadly didn’t get a chance to meet! Anywho. I managed to hit another new PR for my sumo deadlift. Going up by 15 lb/7 kg from last week. I honestly shouldn’t have attempted this because I was coming down with a strep throat and things could’ve easily gone sideways. Nevertheless, my ego was too high and I wanted to break my PR no matter what. I plan on doing 355 lb/161 kg next week. Hopefully I’ll be feeling better by then.

New PR! 335 lb (~152 kg) for 7 reps at 138 lb (~62 kg) body weight. Never give up. I was unsatisfied with my first attempt doing 335 lb sumo deadlift where I did 4 terrible reps. I was unhappy and decided to do it again. To much success, it was a lot better and I couldn’t be happier with my progress! 😁
