Trust me. No single meal, food type or supplement is going to do that for you. At the end it all comes down to calories in (what you eat) vs calories out (what you burn) ⚠️ . ----------------- . The old grind chat is way past boring. - If you’re not competing in an aesthetic or weight sport.... - Live your damn life in moderation. - There will be times you need or want to give your nutrition 100%. - But you know what? The 80/20 rule is usually the sweet spot. - I’ll be about 90% most of the time at home (that being consistent training and intuitive eating). Then when I go away, socialise, have events, im more like 50%. - That totally equates to 80/20 over the year. Trust my maths👀 - Whilst away from home I will👇🏽 🍷Aim for protein at every meal 🍷Eat mindfully for enjoyment 🍷Drink when I want to 🍷Train at least a little (light full body roughly twice a week RN) 🍷Walk where i fancy, not where i don’t. 🍷Say no only if I want to. Not because I ‘should’. - Stop overthinking. Stop trying to copy some Instagram fitness chick who doesn’t even follow her own preaches. - Stop thinking life has to be 100% structured 100% of the time. - Stop thinking you won’t lose water weight that you gain by eating a little more carbs for a day or two. - Stop using time off to go buckwild on tequila👀 - Stop being all or nothing. - LIVE IN MODERATION. #diethack Chick-fil-A fruit cups containers are reusable and dishwasher safe. Stock up! Secondly, the best way to succeed is to be prepared! If you have fruit prepared you're more likely to reach for it then a sugary sweet high point snack. I know I struggle with cutting up an apple when I'm hungry! I like to add a little stevia to my fruit. Always my favorite go to snack!

Fruit. For some reason it has been presented in the Fitness Industry as a deterrent to fat loss. This couldn't be further from the truth. Fruit can actually help to increase fat loss as it is lower in calories because of its high fiber and water content. If you were to replace some of your sources of carbs with fruit, your total calories would decrease. A decrease in total calories equals fat loss. But what about the fructose in fruits you may ask? There is actually a very small amount of fructose in fruit, and research has shown that small amounts of fructose is not an issue. In fact, fructose may help reduce hunger. So go ahead and include fruits in your everyday nutrition plan. Meat free protein sources as promised 🤓 - What the infographic says 👆🏻 - I think it’s fairly easy to get protein in the diet without meat or fish etc but a few things it’s worth being aware of if you are/go meat free (and I’ll try not to turn you off here but it’s not that sexy😅). - Basically - proteins are made up of amino acids (essential and non-essential). Essential can’t be made within the body unlike non-essential, so need to be taken in through your diet. - When it comes to food there are two types of protein sources: complete and incomplete. Complete proteins are mostly animal products 🐔🐮🍳🧀 and contain all the essential amino acids (EAAs) the body needs for its tissue building processes. - Incomplete sources are deficient in at least one or more EAA and are mostly plant based sources 🌱🥗🥙 - So, if you’re a vegan/vegetarian it’s worth making sure you eat a well varied diet of incomplete sources to ensure you do get the full profile of EAAs and can reap the benefits💪🏻 - NB: you can supplement with protein powder if you do struggle to get adequate amounts. We celebrate through food and gather with friends and family around food. If you’re in the middle of a dieting phase, this can be a worrying time. I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t need to be! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In fact, there are lots of little tips and tricks you can put into place RIGHT NOW that’ll help you to relax and enjoy yourself without ‘undoing’ all of your hard work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #diethack 1 - create a ‘buffer’. For MACRO-TRACKERS, this might mean dropping an extra 100 - 200 calories each day (for example) on days it suits you, i.e. days you’re gonna find it easiest to stick to…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ E.g., you could drop your calories on weekdays and eat your ‘normal’ calories at weekends.
