Falei a alguns meses atrás sobre O Drop-set, mas como e é um dos métodos mais utilizados nas academias ele não poderia ficar de fora da série. Então, vamos lá!! O Drop-set é um dos métodos de treinamento mais estudados pela literatura científica, tendo apresentado bons resultados no que se refere a hipertrofia e, também uma aposta válida para o emagrecimento. O método consiste em realizar uma série, geralmente com poucas repetições e alta carga até a falha muscular, reduzir em torno de 20% da carga e, sem intervalo, executar uma nova série até a falha muscular. O número de reduções da carga pode ser variar, podendo ocorrer uma, duas ou até três vezes. Bem quanto a questão do estímulo, o método Drop-set se constitui em uma excelente estratégia para aumentar o volume de treino sem a necessidade de gerar um grande aumento na seção de treino. Isso acontece, pois o método promove um aumento do número de repetições da série ao realizarmos as retiradas de carga e continuarmos a série. Considerando que o Volume Total de Treino é definido pela equação SÉRIES X REPETIÇÕES X CARGA, podemos definir que esse aumento de repetições que o método proporciona aumentará o volume de treino. . EXEMPLO: . A) série tradicional: 1 série de 8 repetições com 10kg resulta em um volume total de 80kg. Três séries resultariam em 240kg . B) Drop- set: 1 série de 8 repetições com 10kg resulta em um volume total de 80kg + 1 série (drop) de 4 repetições com 8kg que resulta em um total de 32kg. Ou seja, a série com uma retirada no Drop-set resulta em em um volume de 112kg. Três séries resultariam em 336kg. . Conseguem perceber? 💗DROP❤️SET💗 I love adding in drop sets! They are a great way to get in a lot of volume and burn out! How do you do it? You should start with a heavy weight perform as many reps as possible (it shouldn’t be more than 10reps) immediately drop your weight 20-30% with extremely minimal to no rest and again perform as many reps as possible. You can start really heavy, do just 4 to 6 reps, strip some weight, do as many reps as you can, and then strip more weight off and push out more reps.✅ - Super Sets: These are consecutive sets, no rest in between. You can do them for the same muscle, like biceps or triceps, or for opposing muscles like back and chest. You can also do them for unrelated muscle groups like quads and shoulders - a surefire way to get your blood pumping from one end of your Badass to the other.✅ - Giant Sets: These sets target one muscle group by doing three exercises quickly, one right after the other, to failure/fatigue using challenging weights and high reps. In November I started to get my head down and set a goal to train just to get some weight off. I have always had a good level of fitness & strength when I was playing football 6 times a week but not sticking to a routine over the past two years has killed me off, therefore having to start from the bottom all over again 🙈 .
