With fall comes change! Starting next week our Wednesday and Friday 6:30am classes will change to a 45 minute class starting at 7:00am. You can hit that snooze button a couple more times and come in for a shorter class to get your day started right before the day gets going. For the past four days I have had the honour of holding space for several yogis in our daily 2-hour Sadhana series. From 6:15-8:15am we focus on the deeper aspects of yoga, practicing discernment of the true self from the false self, as we develop our personal sadhana and cultivate our intention for our day. . . For 75 minutes we flow through fundamental postures that open and strengthen, so that we can then sit in the challenging work of our half-hour meditation. . . We also chant (with my new harmonium!), practice pranayama, and dharana (focused concentration). . . It’s a full experience, and I am so very proud of these incredible students for showing up for themselves and doing the work that a spiritual sadhana asks of us. . . Friday is the last day!
