THE WORD FEAR, I

Reposted from @fg_talks - Tuesday, 23rd April 2019: THE WORD FEAR, IS SIMPLY AN ACRONYM FOR, FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL! The passage, ‘On God I lean…I will not fear’ (Psalm 56:4), reminds us that, just as David found out early in life, fear roars like a lion, but much of the time when confronted, it is no more than a tiny dog. Likewise, we are assured that God, a partner in our labour and One who wants all things to work together and fit perfectly into His plan for good to and for those who love Him and are called according to His design and purpose, will always be there for us. In other words, fear is simply an acronym for, False Evidence Appearing Real. So let the knowledge that: 1) We can face anything when we know about God’s promise to hold our right hand and help us; 2) We do that by personalising His promises to always be with us, strengthen and harden us to difficulties as well as help and hold us up; and 3) If we stand firm on His Word and believe in His promises, He will bring us through our present circumstances and make us stronger; teach you, instead of fearing the worst, to start believing God for the best!FG. www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

Reposted from @fg_talks - Monday, 22nd April 2019: THE GREATEST LESSON OF EASTER! The greatest lesson of Easter is that, it gives us a sneak preview of how all of history will look like, especially when viewed from the vantage point of eternity and a time when every scar, every hurt and every disappointment will be seen in a different light. For that reason, Jesus commanded us never to forget the Cross which gives us hope and serves as a reminder that it is through His wondrous wounds, not His miracles, that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5) and if God can wrest such triumph from the jaws of defeat, there is absolutely no limit to what He can do with the apparent failures and hardships in our lives. So, in the true spirit of Easter, let's get out there, let our hair down, hang out with family and friends, and get set for another great week ahead!FG. www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

Reposted from @fg_talks - Sunday, 21st April 2019: THERE MAY BE SOME ACCEPTABLE REASONS FOR DIVORCE, BUT THEY ARE THE EXCEPTION, AND NOT THE RULE! The passage, ‘For those who are married, I have a command that comes…from the Lord’ (1 Corinthians 7:10), reminds those who spend hours arguing and still can’t resolve issues when, if they had followed this simple rule, arguments could have been over in a matter of minutes with both parties satisfied at the end that, having the blessings of God on our marriages is contingent upon us operating according to His rules. In other words, to enjoy His continued protection, peace and prosperity, we must follow His instructions. So let the knowledge that: 1) God performed the first marriage with clear rules of engagement; 2) When we get married with the attitude that should it fail to work, we can always get a divorce, we are running in the opposite direction from the truth of His Word; and 3) There may be some acceptable reasons for divorce, but they are the exception, and not the rule; teach you, when your relationship gets into trouble, to talk to God before talking to each other!FG.  www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

Reposted from @fg_talks - Saturday, 20th April 2019: WITHOUT FORGIVENESS, LIFE BECOMES AN ENDLESS CYCLE OF RESENTMENT AND RETALIATION! The passage ‘Grow in grace’ (2 Peter 3:18), reminds us, like the grandmother on her fiftieth wedding anniversary, who credited her long and happy relationship to the decision, on her wedding day, to make a list of ten of her husband’s faults, which for the sake of their marriage she would overlook, but never got around to listing that, every day of our lives, God gives us opportunities to grow in grace and those who grow the furthest are those who, rather than just stay open, chase them eagerly. In other words, few things in this world are as sad as those who have harboured a grudge for years. So let the knowledge that: 1) Resentment is one of the most expensive luxuries that we can indulge in; 2) Like a deadly cancer destroying a vital organ, a deep-seated grudge eats away at our peace of mind; and 3) Without forgiveness, life becomes an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation; teach you, when next someone upsets you, instead of responding with angry words or silence, to see it as another opportunity to grow in grace!FG.  www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

fg_talks. WHY CELEBRATE GOOD FRIDAY?

Good Friday, also known as \"Holy Friday,\"

WHY CELEBRATE GOOD FRIDAY? Good Friday, also known as "Holy Friday," is the Friday immediately preceding Easter Sunday. It is celebrated traditionally as the day on which Jesus was crucified, which is why many wonder if indeed, Christians should be celebrating Good Friday. The Bible does not instruct Christians to remember Christ’s death by honoring a certain day, but it does give us freedom in these matters, as in Romans 14:5, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” Rather than remembering Christ's death on a certain day, once a year, the Bible instructs us to remember Christ’s death by observing the Lord’s Supper. First Corinthians 11:24-26 declares, “...do this in remembrance of me...for whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.” What the Jewish authorities and Romans did to Jesus was definitely not good (see Matthew chapters 26-27). However, the results of Christ’s death are very good! According to Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” First Peter 3:18 tells us, “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.” So whether or not Christians choose to “celebrate” Good Friday, the events of that day should be ever on our minds because the death of Christ on the cross—along with His bodily resurrection—is the paramount event of the Christian faith! 🙏🏾👌🏽👍🏾💪🏾👏🏽🤝🏾🤗🌹 #goodfriday #holyfriday #holy #crucifiction #cross #sacrifice #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #motivationalwords #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

In other words, we should feel free to share our deepest fears with Him. So let the knowledge that: 1) When we verbalise God’s Word in prayer, we are praying in His will and are guaranteed a favourable hearing; 2) His Word is the only word that He is obligated to fulfill and it empowers our prayer; and 3) The more we learn of His Word, the more our prayer time will conform to His will and the more closely aligned we will feel with Him; teach you, every time you pray, to keep your Bible handy so He can direct your thoughts to the words He wants you to pray!FG. www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

TALKING HONEST

Reposted from @fg_talks - Wednesday, 17th April 2019: TALKING HONESTLY ABOUT WHERE WE ARE COMING FROM, AND WHAT WE FEEL, THINK AND DESIRE, IS WHAT BEING FRIENDS WITH GOD IS ALL ABOUT! The passage, ‘The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend’ (Exodus 33:11), reminds us that, like friends who were trusting and transparent, Moses and God formed a habit of talking to each order in what sounded like a candid exchange between friends, where rather than being disrespectful and because Moses was engaging with a friend who he trusted and felt close to, he could open his heart and say what he thought without fear of being judged. In other words, he felt free to open up completely to God. So let the knowledge that: 1) What God wants with us, is the same kind of relationship He had with Moses; 2) Religious-sounding clichés and the usual run-of-the-mill prayer request list can undermine our opportunity to connect deeply and personally with Him; and 3) Talking honestly about where we are coming from, and what we feel, think and desire, is what being friends with Him is all about; teach you, each time you have a crisis on your hands, to engage Him in a serious conversation!FG.  www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

Reposted from @fg_talks - Tuesday, 16th April 2019: GOD GIVES US GRACE FOR THE SEASON WE ARE IN, NOT THE ONE WE WERE ONCE IN, OR THE ONE WE WOULD RATHER BE IN! The passage, ‘In season and out of season’ (2 Timothy 4:2), reminds us that, just as the root system that is required for strong, healthy growth takes time to develop and the fertiliser that smells so bad is in the process of producing the highest quality crop, the richness and stability that come from ‘small beginnings’ and gradual success are more lasting than the temperamental theatrics of those who have never learned their own vulnerabilities or developed a true sense of dependence on God. In other words, God does everything according to a set time and purpose. So let the knowledge that: 1) God gives us grace for the season we are in, not the one we were once in or the one we would rather be in; 2) If we ask, He will show us the season we are in and how to make it the most productive of our lives; and 3) In the winter of our lives, we should focus on pouring our knowledge into our successors; teach you, rather than being resentful that your days as a player are over, to simply become a coach!FG. www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

KNOWING GOD AND H

Reposted from @fg_talks - Sunday, 14th April 2019: KNOWING GOD AND HAVING HIS FAVOUR BRINGS TOGETHER, AND SEAMLESSLY TOO, ALL THE THINGS WE NEED IN LIFE! The passage, ‘He made known his ways to Moses’ (Psalm 103:7), reminds us that, at those times when we are going through a crisis in our lives, if like Moses we choose, rather than asking God to help us resolve it, but instead, ask Him to teach us His ways so we may know Him better and continue to find favour in His sight, the Lord Almighty will make His ways and deeds to us, and thereafter, His Presence will go with us and He will give us rest. In other words, we shouldn’t just pray for ourselves, but everyone around us. So let the knowledge that: 1) Knowing God and having His favour brings together, and seamlessly too, all the things we need in life; 2) More than just information about Him, we should seek for intimacy, knowledge of His heart and His thoughts about every situation; and 3) Our prayers should always be bigger than ourselves and our own needs; teach you, even as you worship this Psalm Sunday, to pray that your family, your entire community and a lost world will not perish but have everlasting life!FG.  www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

ACTING IN FAITH

Reposted from @fg_talks - Saturday, 13th April 2019: ACTING IN FAITH IS ALWAYS AGREEING WITH GOD’S WORD AND REFUSING TO SAY ANYTHING THAT CONTRADICTS IT! The passage, ‘It was not mixed with faith’ (Hebrews 4:2), reminds those desirous of maintaining a perfect relationship with God that, just as it takes the right mix of cement sand and water to make good concrete, our bodies need daily intake of good nutrition and our souls need to be constantly fed on God’s Word, but because faith is the substance of things hoped for, for us to get the mix right, we must act in absolute trust and confidence in God’s power, wisdom and goodness. In other words, we must always act on what we hear and read. So let the knowledge that: 1) Acting in faith is always agreeing with God’s Word and refusing to say anything that contradicts it; 2) It is also includes waiting patiently and allowing Him to fulfill His Word in His own way and on His own schedule; and 3) It is basing our actions on something substantial, which is the tried, proven and unfailing truth of His Word; teach you, even as you relax and unwind this weekend, to get up close and personal with His Word!FG.  www.fgtalks.com #praisegod #awesomegod #praisehim #lovehim #celebratehim #faithfulness  #holyness #dailydevotion #dailyword #inspiration #inspirationalwords #beinspired #beawesome #bemotivated #motivation #motivationalwords #word #wordoflife #wordoffaith #wordsofinspiration #wordsofwisdom #wordstoliveby #wordoftheday #instadaily #instaword #instapray #gratitude #attitudeofgratitude  #femigee #fgtalks

Reposted from @fg_talks - Thursday, 11th April 2019: HE WHO CALLED US IS COMPLETELY DEPENDABLE AND IF HE HAS SAID SOMETHING, HE WILL DO IT! The passage, ‘We must try to become mature’ (Hebrews 6:1), reminds that, the immature are masters of alibi, they are the confused and the disorganized and their lives are a maze of broken promises, former friends, unfinished business and good intentions, but God himself who makes everything holy and whole, has put us together (spirit, soul and body) and He will keep us fit for the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
