“Sometimes the weight you need to lose isn’t on your body.”✨ . . #fitgirlfriday The middle photo was taken 10/20/18. This is a photo of someone who has lost herself. Someone who has given all of her energy to others + none to herself. Someone who forgot who she was. The woman on the right woke up, remembered who she was + is now an even better version of the woman she was before she lost herself. 🙏🏾 The moral of the story?... Life happens. We get caught up. We give too much of ourselves to others + not enough to ourselves. We don’t realize that when we give our energy to the wrong people, they suck us dry. Sometimes we realize these things on our own. Sometimes it takes a slap in the face to wake up + snap out of it. Either way, as long as we catch ourselves, there’s always a way to find your way back to YOU. . Exactly one year ago I decided to invest in myself + hire @qsnutrition to help me get back into all the clothes I couldn’t fit into anymore... what I didn’t expect was to surpass that goal, and become the most fit I’ve ever been. The biggest lesson out of all of this is that it’s not just about the weight + inches lost or the pant sizes I’ve gone down. It’s about the internal work done + the growth accomplished to better myself from the inside out. I realized when you work on the inside, the outside follows suit. @qsnutrition didn’t just customize workouts + meal plans, she understood my goals, made them her own, encouraged me + fed my spirit. She became one of my biggest supporters + closest friends, not just my trainer. For that, I will always be grateful.💗 . . I hope taking this chance to be vulnerable inspires someone else who may need a friendly reminder... if you’ve lost yourself you’re not gone forever, you can find yourself again... maybe even a better version than before. Just remember to love yourself from the inside out + all will fall into place. 💕

Friday Ab Circuit 🥳❤️ • Today was a full upper body day and I had a lil extra time so I decided to some abs as well. I used to train abs with no added weight at all. But once I started training abs like every other muscle group, and slowly have begun to increase weight and difficulty of the exercises, I’ve seen so much progress. • Like most women, I carry a lil extra fluff in my lower belly, which is completely normal. Who does really? I consider myself an optimist but sometimes it’s much easier to be an optimist towards other people’s lives than towards your own. My fitness journey hasn’t been easy. Throughout my life I seem to have a 3-5 year trend. I workout really hard, get into amazing shape, maintain it for a while and then slowly gain the weight back. Those steps backwards suck, but I’ve learned that all it takes is one step forward to get you back to even better than where you first started. You just have to take that first step, don’t be so hard on yourself and be patient with yourself. After all life is a dance right?
