Here is a quote I feel so many people need. “Success is determined by how you handle setbacks.” - - So many times in life we let ourself forget how far we have come and how hard we worked to get this far all because of one minor setback that will in the end only make us stronger. I fell pretty hard at dance on Wednesday which has me out of all activities for at least a week if not longer. If you know me... I’m extremely active. I’m always dancing or at the gym. I’m very passionate about both and knowing that I can’t do either until I’m completely healed kills me. Part of me just wants to go for it because 1. I can’t let me dance team down and 2. I feel like I’m letting myself down because this is stopping me from getting to my goals. It’s a major setback for what I have planned for me but I cannot let it get into my head. As much as I want to power through and act tough I can’t and I know I shouldn’t. If I workout or dance too soon I can injure myself even more and have to sit out from the things I love even longer. This is just a setback that will make me work even harder once I’m back to myself. Nothing can stop me. Happy Friday fit fam! Now without further a-do, let’s talk about GOALS. 💖 . . I loveeee goal setting every Friday and Sunday! Sunday goal setting prepares me for all of the things I need to accomplish during the week, but Friday goal setting gets me ready for the weekend! 🌞 . . I really do think it’s important to have a plan and stick to it! Life is bonkers and my schedule personally can end up allllll over the place, but for me to keep myself on track with my plans, I love to goal set! . . Goals for this weekend: . 1️⃣- Get all of my homework done ON TIME 📓📗 2️⃣- Meet with my new clients and get their sessions scheduled 😊📆 3️⃣- Finish revamping my website 💻🖱 4️⃣- Complete all client check ins and send out new programs ✅📬 5️⃣- Go look at one potential apartment for moving in the fall 🏠🍁 . . So there you have it! It isn’t always glamorous but it’s what I need to do to stay on track with not only my short term goals, but my long term plan. Sorry, Fitness Experience 🙈 the lighting is too hard to pass up. No one was affected in the taking of this photo 😅 On a more serious note, today was a tough one, my boyfriend and his family have been going through hard times lately and it’s been difficult seeing him in pain. I just want to cuddle up and be sad with him until he’s feeling better or things are resolved but that’s not realistic. In times like these, it’s sometimes necessary to be strong for loved ones. Trying to stay positive and keep my head up while he goes through the motions of healing are so important in a relationship. He’s helped me out more times than I can count and stayed strong for us so that I can get myself out of a hole. My point to all of this is: BALANCE. Balance can be applied to so many things: work, school, relationships, diet. You name it.
