If you wanna snatch your abs and EARN some strong, perky buns then SAVE this for later. Here the workout: ⏳Lunge Core Twist / make sure to keep your core engaged and drive through your heel to keep ya bum active and not your quads. _ ⏳Overhead Kneeling Squat Jump / if you’re up for a challenge, add a weight relative to your fitness level and keep that core tight. _ ⏳ Donkey Kicks / brace your core and breathe out hard every time you kick. At the same time, contract through your core. _ ⏳Plank Knee Crunch / try not to move your hips too much and crunch every time you bring your knee in. _ ⏳Frog Pump to Core Reach / this one works best if your glutes are already burning. Keep them engage even as you rest to maximize. Similarly, keep your core braced as you raise your hips. _ ⏳Plank Swivel to Plank Jack / this is more of a hiit cardio move which will help get your digestion moving = flatter stomach. _ ⏳Alternating Plank Bird Dog / this one BURNS y’all. "I remember in highschool i used to DREAD going to the pool because all i could think of was how fat I felt and how good everyone else looked. I had let myself go completely. This was probably one of my lowest parts of my life. Not only did I hate how i looked but I FELT terrible.. One day I decided I was DONE feeling BAD for myself. I was tired of NOT feeling pretty or confident & i knew that in order for me to look better I was going to make a lot of changes. It took me YEARS to get to where I am now and even though my journey wasn’t perfect whenever I failed I always got right back up and kept TRYING. HIIT and why you’re not getting the results you want. - HIIT is the new craze these days as the most effective way to burn fat. - But is it really? - First of all, most people do HIIT wrong. - With HIIT you need to be going 100% effort during your work time and then rest. - How many of you truly are going 100% or near 100% effort for each exercise in the circuit? - Not me…it's incredibly uncomfortable to push your body to that extreme. - Second, HIIT destroys your body. - What you normally see is, a lot of plyometrics, a lot of jumping, a lot of burpees, a lot of high impact exercises. - Now you might ask what’s wrong with these? - Nothing really, the exercises are great for overall fitness, conditioning...you name it! BUT … IF your body can handle it. - Let’s be honest, most of us are not athletes nor do we have the work capacity of one. - So how can we train like them in that sense? - Most of us have “problems” whether it be our knees, our lower back, our hip, our shoulder… something is nagging or bothering us. - How many of us can perform the exercise with perfect form? Not many. - Then you add on the intensity of the exercises, even those with perfect form will start to get tired and form breaks down. - Chances of injury is HIGH...It’s silly to be doing this every workout like some people are. - I see so many people come to me from doing these circuits or HIIT style workouts with completely messed up form, bad knees, you name it. - You wouldn’t push your old car to it’s maximum limit in terms of performance and speed will you? - Then why do the same to your body? - So let’s wrap it up… - If you’re not doing the workout as intended, are you getting the best results from it? - And then if you’re constantly having nagging pains, injuries etc. can you really get into good shape if you’re always injured?
