What mom wouldn't do anything for their children!? 🤷‍♀️ . Healthy eating makes for a healthy child. We know that we all want our kids to be their healthiest, but we know how real the struggle is! You are not alone mama!! I have Charlie who would live on cheeseburgers🍔 and pizza 🍕if I let him and James who wouldn't mind the same meal plan as his big brother!🙈 Really what person wouldn't!? . As I have cleaned up my own nutrition and now steer clear from all the processed crap I know the difference in how I feel when I'm eating clean. So why do we allow our children to continue consuming all the crap?! The honest answer is it's easier. I get it, believe me, life's hard and busy and we are trying to navigate each day choosing our battles and sometimes just surviving! 🤯But I'm here to challenge us to start being intentional about what we give to our children. We are helping them create the habits and relationship with food that they will carry for their life time. They will struggle with the same things that we have struggled with in creating new healthy habits if we don't help them do this now. . What if we just start with small changes and take those steps in the right direction? 🦄 I know we all mean well. That we love our children is never the question, but I think sometimes we need to be challenged to be more intentional about the choices that we are making and the battles that we are choosing. . Try consuming refined sugars and then it’s another story. - Fruit is going to help you lose weight, but only if you choose correctly. There are fruits that contain more sugar than others, therefore when you are trying to lose weight you must eat fruits such as avocado and green apples. I am crazy since I got my @fitbit Charge 3. I am a very healthy person, I pay attention to my diet, I pay attention to my body and to do enough sport. I know that lately I’ve been a little bit in a bad circle about restaurants in Spain with my sweetheart. ❤️😂 But now that I am back in Belgium, I have all the time to focus on my diet. The connected watch allows me to have a crazy follow up on my calories burned, my daily steps, my quality sleep, my heart rate. It’s a real coach who follow you everywhere. Prepare a special playlist with your favorite workout songs and DON’T listen to it unless you are exercising💥 you’ll miss that one song and be motivated to workout to listen to it. - 2. REALLY try to exercise in the morning. The thing about exercising later (which is also great) is that you take the chance that something bigger may come up, like a dinner date, a doctors appointment... and you end up not exercising because you have other things to do. If you exercise first thing in the morning you won’t have excuses later in the day not to do it because you already did. - 3. Don’t shower. Ew, right? 🙈 if you don’t shower unless you have done your workout for the day you’ll have a pretty excellent excuse to #justdoit am I right? - 4. In this game there are only two strikes! You may skip the gym one day, but if you skip the second one too for SURE you’ll the third. Skip that one day but if you do you MUST workout the next day for the sake of your fitness🤪. - 5. Think about the benefits. There are soooo many when it comes to workout. The best of all in my opinion is the feeling of realization after a 🏋️‍♀️good💪🏻empowering💥workout🤩 think about it! 🔥Snacks to build muscle 🔥 - Follow 👉 @adviceonfitness Post by 👉 @dancudes - Do you snack throughout the day? While there is some sort of hate towards snacking (be side it makes you fat apparently), I think snacking is not only fine but actually more beneficial than avoiding it for most people especially when looking to get lean, fit, and healthy. It stabilizes blood sugar levels while also allowing a constant and continuous influx of nutrients and fuel into your body throughout the day, making it easier on your digestive system to work effectively and efficiently while maintaining a good energy level. When it comes to building muscle, some of these snacks may need to be a bit more calorically-dense, but that doesn't mean pop tarts, donuts, cookies, and trash protein bars (not all are trash, but most). Here are some snacks I like to have: banana and peanut butter on toast (not only is it high in calories, carbs, fats, and protein, but there is almost no better combo than PB and banana, let's just lay that where it may), smoothies (I like to add bananas and dates along with protein and some chia seeds to up the calories and micronutrient content), apple and cashews (don't neglect getting in those healthy fats, but also fruit does not make you fat no matter what nonsense someone told you. If so...I'd be a whale), proats (a high carb and high protein meal that I think is best suited post-workout), homemade energy balls (because they are a little bit of a dessert let alone are very calorically-dense especially when made with a peanut butter and date base), and chia pudding (super high in healthy fats and protein, both required to build muscle).
