The other day I saw a sign for fat freezing that said "Tried detoxing but still can't lose weight?" and I nearly ripped the sign apart there and then. . What kind of message is this sending out to young (and old) girls out there? That if you "fail" once you should just "give up" and take a short cut? What happened to working hard for what you want and actually learning and EARNING that result??! . It's the same thing as going to UNI for 4 years but having someone else do all your exams so that you passed but graduated not knowing how you got there or how to work in your industry. . Let's say you do go and freeze your fat. Then what happens? Let me tell you.. You keep eating like you have in the past and gain it all back within a few months. . If you're actually serious about feeling/looking better, you need to start focusing on creating better habits and routines. Educating yourself about food and how to fuel your body. Learning how to incorporate your favourite treats in to your new lifestyle without going overboard. . Yes, it will definitely take longer than going in for 3x20 minute treatments to freeze away some fat, but if you do it right, the result will last you for the rest of your life and not just a couple of months. . Guten Morgen ihr Lieben, ich hoffe ihr seid gut in den Tag gestartet! 💚 Ein großer FEHLER, den viele während einer Diät machen ist; sich bestimmte Lebensmittel zu VERBIETEN (auf die sie eigentlich Lust hätten)! 🚫 ALLE Lebensmittel gehören zum Leben dazu! Essen gibt so viel Lebensqualität und man sollte sich nicht wegen "ungesunden" Lebensmitteln, während einer Diät stressen lassen. Die Menge macht das Gift! ☝🏻 Wenn man sich die ganze Zeit die Lebensmittel verbietet, die man gerne isst, dann eskaliert man früher oder später und schlägt völlig über Stränge! Dadurch isst man wahrscheinlich zwischendurch sogar mehr von den Lebensmitteln, die man sich verboten hat, als wenn man sie sich einfach nicht verbieten würde. Du solltest lieber nach dem Prinzip: "Flexible Dieting" oder "if it fits your macros" arbeiten. Das heißt; am Ende des Tages zählt nur die Kalorienbilanz. Wichtig dabei ist, zusätzlich auf die Makronährstoffverteilung zu achten, also die Verteilung von Kohlenhydraten, Fetten & Proteinen. [Optimal sind 2-2,5gr.pro Kg (Körpergewicht) an Protein und 1-2gr.pro Kg an Fett täglich!] Wenn die Makronährstoffverteilung passt dann ist es so gut wie egal, was du isst, solange du in deinem Kalorienwert bleibst (beim Abnehmen musst du drunter bleiben)! Empfehlenswert ist natürlich trotzdem, mehr Obst und Gemüse zu essen, als Chips und Schokolade 😅 (gesundheitlich gesehen) Geh mit Freunden aus: Essen gehen, Kino, Jahrmarkt etc. Nimm am Leben teil, genieße es und Essen gehört definitiv dazu! Wenn du Angst hast beim Auswärts Essen über die Stränge zu schlagen, dann iss vorher eine proteinreiche Mahlzeit, dadurch bist du gut gesättigt und das Risiko dafür sinkt. Mach dir während deiner Diät nicht so viel Stress, achte auf deinen Kalorienwert und verbiete dir keine Lebensmittel! I hate medicating unnecessarily, so I purchased some reflective lenses that are supposed to help with the blue light + fluorescents. The point? If you're hurting, change what is in your power to change. ⬇️100lbs in 1yr w/Keto . I didn't gain weight after marriage, pregnancy, illness, or anything like that. I just was and lived that since I could feed myself. My mom tried to control it and had me on every diet imaginable since I can remember. I would hide food and eat it when no one would watch and enjoy the hell out of it too! I wish I could tell you how much changing my lifestyle has made me so much happier but the reality is I was happy my entire life (in fact, that photo on the left shows a PURE HAPPINESS tear on my face). I enjoyed my childhood, I enjoyed going to school, I enjoyed activities. . If you're a mom out there going through the same thing my mom went through (myself included because I have a chunky but funky, large and in charge child), please don't do that to your kid. Help them make the best of their life, their NOW. Lead a healthy lifestyle for you and your whole family. They will find their path through example. Be that role model. My mom did a great job at what she thought was best for me. But not having an obesity issue herself, I don't think she knew how to approach that situation. My daughters know my main focus is health. I want them to be healthy and happy. If that means they're happy being big or small, that's fine as long as they are healthy... because big girls can be healthy too... I know it because I was one (still am at heart). Act for yourself and for our small family! . Autoregulatives Training! Part 1! Genauso wie Dein Progress beim Krafttraining nicht Linear abläuft, läuft in deinem Leben nicht immer alles nach Plan. Wie Du ja bekanntlich weist wirkt sich Stress in jeglicher Art und Weise negativ auf deine Trainingsperformance aus. Dazu zählt nicht nur dein Training, was per se Stress bedeutet, sondern auch gewisse Lifestressoren. Mal schläfst Du weniger, mal hast Du mehr Stress auf der Arbeit. Autoregulatives Training ist vereinfacht gesagt der Mittelweg zwischen Training nach Gefühl und einem komplett starren Ansatz! Das Problem bei beiden Ansätzen? Wie willst Du Progress forcieren, wenn Du ausschließlich nach Gefühl trainierst, bei jedem kleinsten Widerstand “hartes” Training vernachlässigt und die Gewichte der letzten Woche nicht kennst? Was passiert, wenn dein Plan Sätze, Wiederholungen und Gewicht vorgibt und Du diese aufgrund von Fluktuationen deiner Tagesperformance nicht einhalten kannst? Frust und noch härteres Training? Du wirst merken, dass Du in beiden Fällen sehr schnell gegen eine Wand fahren wirst! Wie kannst Du nun autoregulatives Training für Dich und dein Training nutzen? Autoregulation basiert nicht darauf, dass Du aus jedem Workout die maximale Leistung herausholst, sondern eher darauf einen langfristigen erfolgversprechenden Weg zu gehen. Dein Training muss nicht immer gut sein, wenn Du dich ausgepowert fühlst, Du widmest dich viel mehr intelligenter Trainingsplangestaltung zu, auch wenn Du damit manchmal das Gefühl hast, in deinem Training wäre noch mehr gegangen! Auf diese Art und Weise, stellst Du sicher, dass Du immer mit einem ausreichend hohen Stimulus trainierst, aber dennoch flexible genug bist, um Schwankungen in deiner Tagesperformance zu berücksichtigen! Du kannst so an schlechteren Tagen trotzdem das Beste rausholen! Ich nutze dafür das Tool der Reps In Reserve (RiR)! Fazit: Slow and Steady Wins Races! Wie stehst Du zu dem Thema❓

I want to talk about dieting. Dieting is science. If input is less than output (calorie deficit) weight loss occurs due to body having to use stored fuel to do its thing. There are many ways to achieve this and usually people cut out sugar. Cut out carbs. And yes often this does create a calorie deficit..... but I have 2 things to say about this. 1. Your body needs all types of things to do its job. Fats. Carbs. Protein. To name a couple. If you minimize the carbs that you have by cutting them out completely it can affect your brain function. Your brain needs the glucose from carbs to have the energy it needs to do its job. You take that away and well you can feel foggy, out of sorts all sorts of things. Carbs are NOT the enemy. 2. Food is life! If you are “dieting” and restrict yourself from foods you love you will “fall off the wagon”. By abstaining from chocolate or icecream or potato chips you then create an environment in your life where these foods become the “enemy”. Food is food no matter what. No such thing as good or bad food. Some you might get more nutritional value but others you get more of a mental and emotional satisfaction from. And that is just as important. By following a flexible approach to dieting you can have your cake and eat it too. Currently I am in a cutting phase. We have a plan as I am approaching the end of my weight loss journey. My calories set by my coach are reasonably low at 1450. Today, I have planned to have dessert! Yes that’s right. This double chocolate dessert you see is all tracked and accounted for into my macros for today. I have met my protein target and I still have calories to spare. Dieting does not have to be all plain chicken and lettuce. Dieting may not always be easy but it shouldn’t be so restrictive that you can’t manage it either. Live a little. Eat chocolate. I started my first diet just before the age of 14 🙊 And the last conventional diet I did was while I was 23. That’s almost a decade of jumping from ship to ship putting myself into different styles of restriction with nothing long lasting to show for my efforts 😑😑 - What consistently Fucked with my progress was over feeding aka bingeing out on foods that I saw as bad / off limits while trying to stick to my rigid list of #cleaneating foods and the like. Naturally I struggled hard, developed a shit relationship with food, and felt like a failure.
