Over time it seems that your behavior can change your environment also. If you aren't aware of these concepts, you'll most likely end up unconsciously programming yourself into shitty behavior. Then you'll likely end up wondering where you went wrong, why you are in pain, and why your life sucks. You have limited choice based on what you are and the environment you are in. If you want to change, change your environment. Start @functionalpatterns and take responsibility for yourself and your behavior. Take responsibility by understanding what drives your behavior and finding the steps necessary to change those factors. If you aren't taking actions to change your bullshit you are incompetent and causing more problems for humanity and the environment. #Repost @functionalpatterns with @kimcy929_repost • • • • • • Environment shapes behavior. #Repost @fp.nina (@get_repost) ・・・ “The human body evolved over millions of years primarily to walk, run, and throw. These movement patterns are the defining biomechanical traits of human beings. These specific structural aspects are what influence virtually all movements available to us as we navigate life. Despite these facts, we rarely ever see people orient their training around these ideas.” . “To the hardcore weightlifter, it is preposterous to move outside of the saggital plane. Why? Because it doesn’t fit the spacing in a traditional gym. The visual is associated to dysfunctional gym culture. Machines packed up that keep humans rigid. Mentally and physically. #Repost @laetitia_saadi ・・・ Found this again. After HBS1 course this meme has never felt this relevant... ................................................................................ Une formation Functional Patterns, comme posé ici par les mots de son fondateur, ce n’est pas juste une liste de techniques pour régler tel ou tel problème, parce que la codification 🧬 du fonctionnement du corps humain n’est pas encore assez optimal. ............................................................................................................................................ Alors non, je n’ai pas appris une liste d’exercices, j’ai trouvé un message bien plus précieux, la capacité de réfléchir à régler des problèmes 🧠. The ability to think 🤔. .................................................................................................................................................................. @functionalpatterns with @get_repost. Full post on #functionalpatterns main page. ・・・ Lol, an all time classic FP meme by the legend and FP Human Biomechanics Specialist, @fpshannonhegarty. People get hooked on our material because it works. If you take a HF course, odds are you will be forced (because it feels so good) to continue.

Repost @fpvahdaneh "Slings = are comprised of muscles, fascia and ligaments all working together to create functionally to produce and transmit force throughout the body . Slings work to dissipate forces between the lower and upper parts of the body . For every physical move that the body makes—running, jumping, throwing, —a reactive force is generated . So it important for our slings to be working efficiently, as they help us move better, produce more force, and create more speed . . @functionalpatterns @fpvahdaneh . . #functionalpatterns #myofascialslings #sportsperformancetraining #biomechanics #injuryfree"

@naudiaguilar I'm inclined to build on a false sense of security. Why? Because it means I don't have to change. Change requires work. I don't mind work, so long as there is a reward on the other side. I think it's safe to say everyone feels that way. The problem is not the work, it's the result that comes from the work that matters. . . How do I determine where I put in work? By looking for the mechanisms in the universe that that bring about predictable outcomes. When I see the patterns that bring the results, I know where to put in the work. I can't see that in an ambiguous world where I believe in myself for no reason. . . Science is my tool for operating in this space. Anyone who says it can't explain everything is choosing to not measure what matters. When you measure what matters, what can't be measured often times is impractical to put time into. #functionalpatterns

If you get those days where you really don’t feel like working out then you’re not alone. I get that lots too! 🙀 You’re super busy and I’m super busy but it is so important to move your body anyways 🏃 Some days you’ll find those will be your best workouts! Some days you will feel like poop. But you don’t know so do it anyways 🤷‍♂️ These are some of my favourite exercises for a nice light upper body day when I really don’t feel like working out 😁

From day 1 through day 3 of training under the legit @functionalpatterns HBS methods. It seems that I have improved the integrity of my lateral lines as well as improved pelvic rotation. #fpallday #functionalpatterns #biomechanicsculture #tuneintotheboredom #yoga #doyougaitbro #leverageyoshit #fixyoshit

[H e a d a c h e s] can be caused by excess screen time whereby too much blue light enters the eye and degrades its cells. In order to combat these tension headaches it’s important to wear blue light filtering glasses, get regular sun breaks (no sunglasses) and have some sort of restorative red light next to your screen. Try these simple hacks and keep your brain headache free!
