Strength training at it’s finest. This is one of my most favorite warm-up moves before working out my shoulders. Starting from L-sit hold I transition to a muscle up followed by back lever. What makes this movement challenging is executing it on the rings rather than the bar. Trying to embrace myself and all that I am is such an empowering feeling. I know that it is impossible for me to be liked by everyone, so I’m just focusing all of my energy on making sure that I like myself. It is simply tiring to try so hard to fit in when I was born to stand out. To some I am going to be too much, to others I will not be enough. But you know what? It is all good, because regardless of what I do there is always going to be a chance I’ll be misunderstood. There will always be someone out there who “does not get me” so I rather spend my time trying to ”get myself”.

Developing an athletes ability to produce power is considered a key component in sports performance & in order to integrate this into a strength & conditioning programme it’s essential both coaches and athletes understand the basics👌🏻 . In order to develop power & manipulate the force velocity curve, firstly coaches must ensure athletes have trained their maximal strength💪🏻Once an athlete has improved his/her ability to produce force this is then mapped across to movements that are specific to their sport💥 . When we refer to the Force Velociry Curve, it’s defined by having 2 ends to it👉🏻at one end of the curve athletes such as Powerlifters produce far greater force but with far less velocity📈and at the other end athletes such as baseball players & javelin athletes produce far more velocity than they do force📉 . Training these areas efficiently can be achieved by selecting appropriate exercises that relate to movements in their sport👌🏻Below are 3 ways in which this can be achieved💯 . One method is utilising jumps and bounds in your plyometric sessions🤾🏻‍♂️you’ll find that these forces produced will generally be increased and relate to a wide variety of sports that require lower limb power and speed💪🏻 . Another method, is incorporating Ballistic Training - this is simply pre-loading something and producing the movement as fast as possible/ releasing something🤽🏻‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️things like med ball throws etc .
