If you’re struggling with either, save this post and refer to it any time you need some guidance. . . . 💥STRUGGLING TO LOSE OR GAIN WEIGHT?💥 - 🍭If I didn’t know any better I’d bet you 50 gallions and a knut this teeny tiny picture would end up with half of Azkaban’s dementors kicking and screaming and shouting and yowling how awful and dangerous this is. - 🍕Some dementors would be upset I put carbs on the fat loss side. “Carbohydrates!? Are you deranged!?” they’d shriek from a hole under their cloaks. “Only a lunatic would say you can eat carbs & lose fat!” - 🌮Other dementors would be bemoan the fish, and all animal products, for that matter. I could have included chicken, turkey, beef, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese (all of which fit well on both sides). “We’re not meant to eat animal products,” they’d hiss. “We saw a documentary called What the Health that said anyone who eats animals will live but a half life. A cursed life.” - 🧀 And still other dementors would decry the sugar in the fruit. Others would castrate the notion of eating “unclean” foods like PB&J. And others would find something else to demonize. - 🍗Because that’s how the fitness industry thrives. Rather than understand everything works and whatever is “best” depends on the individual, fitness marketers say there’s one “right” way and everything else is not only wrong but actually terrible and dangerous and causes cancer. And this is why we have so many relentlessly dogmatic “camps” under the fitness umbrella. - 🦄Regardless, what I really hope you take from this post is this: - 1️⃣To lose fat you need to be in a consistent calorie deficit. Which means you will get hungry and that’s ok. Eating low-cal, nutrient dense foods (strawberries, watermelon, miso, fish, etc) is the best way to blunt hunger while maintaining your deficit. - 2️⃣To gain weight you need to be in a consistent calorie surplus. Which means sometimes you’re probably going to be full and still need to eat when you aren’t hungry. Just make sure to focus on high-cal, nutrient dense foods so you can get all your calories in w/o essplodin.

A year ago I didn’t have a gym membership... and WOW, look at how things have changed. I’m thankful for my newfound love because a couple of months ago, I wasn’t in the best place—mentally & physically. So, I decided to replace bad, unhealthy habits with the opposite. And the difference I feel is amazing. The gym has helped me in so many ways... I can’t even begin to explain. And this is just the start for me. I’m still a ways away from my personal body goals but I’m determined to get there. Learning spiritual knowledge, knowledge of self, knowing how to be a better person, taking care of your temple. Doing your research and building your mind. It’s hard for people to even want that, and even harder for people to accept the information you’re giving them. It’s not tangible for them. Took me some years but I’ve learned to be ok and at peace with it. My saying holds true. These GainZ are for everybody! We are all responsible for what we feed ourselves daily. Mentally and physically. You gotta let people grow on their own sometimes!

📛 Oh the joy of meal prepping for the week can be sometimes boring but the key to making meal prepping easy is literally making the most of the healthy foods (e.g potatoes, rice, chicken, fish and some vegetables) you have at home. You have to make sure you have a good balance of nutrients like carbohydrate, protein, fat and fiber. ⁣ ⁣ Depending on what your goals are meal prep can be done when your trying to gain muscle/bulk up or even when you are leaning out. ⁣ ⁣ I remember back when I was trying to gain some muscles, the first thing I did was meal prep because I used to believe in the notion that you absolutely have to eat 6 meals a day for you to gain size which is WRONG 😩. I felt horrible every single day force feeding myself to point of puking because of too much food. ⁣ ⁣ Definitely not worth it man! 😭⁣ ⁣ As long as you are meeting your macros intake⁣ per day to gain and working out intensely, you will see the results you want. ⁣ ⁣ Meal prep are suppose to be enjoyable to where you can mix and match what carb source and protein source you want in your meal instead of the typical gym bro meal ( RICE + CKN + BROC everyday) don’t get me wrong you eat them but mix and match them for your own enjoyment! ⁣ ⁣ 🌱BENEFIT of MEAL PREPPING 🌱⁣ ✖️Saves time ⁣ ✖️Save money ⁣ ✖️Flexible meals ⁣ ✖️Loaded of nutrients that your body needs⁣ ⁣ I hope this helps! ❗️THINGS JACKED GUYS DO❗️ • Heyy👋🏻 • I’ve never really considered myself “jacked”. I’m proud of how far I’ve come but I’ve got a long way to go. • Here’s a few things most of the bigger guys have in common though. Take some notes 😎 • ✅ Schedules deloads for accumulated fatigue. You may not need to schedule them as a beginner, but somewhere down the line you’ll find yourself accumulating fatigue and grinding reps. • ✅ Runs a smart program managing volume AND intensity. In my experience, one without the other will lead to inferior results. • ✅ Tracks calories and protein. Let’s face it, we need to be in a surplus of calories to even have a chance at building any amount of muscle. • ✅ Takes measurements. Going by scale weight alone can be a slippery slope. Measurements ensure you’re putting on size where you want it, although some fat gain is inevitable. • ✅ Records weight every day. I’ve found taking weekly averages seems to be the most accurate for me, weighing myself at the same time of day. • ✅ Tracks weekly volume and workouts. Tracking allows you to focus on progressing, which will contribute to the bulk of your gains. • ✅ Patient as f*ck. Shoulders Seated DB Press 4x10 35kg 3 sets of Joe Defranco's Shoulder Shocker: No rest between exercises. Plate Raise x10 10kg DB Lateral Raise x10 10kg Seated DB Clean and Press x10 10kg Rear Delt Flys 5x12-15 7kg I designed this to be in and out of the gym ASAP. This should only take about 30-40 minutes. While, technically this is a training day; I think of it more as an active recovery day. This is due to the fact that a small muscle group such as the shoulders barley tax the nervous system. With my current plan, I'm going to be training every single day. Instead of taking rest days, I'll be using Shoulder and Arm days to let my CNS recover. Bro splits are criminally underrated in my opinion. Do you have to go to the gym everyday to see progress? Absolutely not. I just like to train. Plus I get to eat more. That's a win in my book. Remember to stay natural kids. Fake nattys are the enemy.

This is my 10 year challenge. Literally the only picture of me with my shirt off at 8 years old because I was so self conscious. I remember that day and I went swimming with my shirt on! But fast forward 10 years at 18years old in this picture and I had been lifting for 4 of those years, my confidence couldn’t be any higher. All it took was for me to see change in my body and I’ve never looked back. Seeing results had me hooked wanting more and more every single day. Once I seen results I was the most motivated I have ever been in my life and the hardest part is getting to that point of seeing change, but once you achieve that the road is already paved for you! I think that lesson alone is one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in my life. I am super excited to see what the future holds for me and where I’ll be in the next 10 years. #10yearchallenge

Those trainer days impacted my life in ways that Im still finding out today. I still have a burning desire. I’m not a quitter. Finding ways to help others and myself comes natural and easy now. I’m a better communicator. I have more patience for the process. I saw this job as a struggle back then but it was placed in my life to develop me! God knew! It’s not always about the money you make. He after our heart! He wants to develop us on the inside. He will provide while you go through the transformation!
