{Hey you! Swipe left!!} Does everyone kno how important our posture is? If we do, why does it seems like it’s the last thing we care for when it comes to taking care of ourselves? We want nice abs, butt, legs, or arms, but, what about our back?! Our posture is important when dealing with pain or even our self confidence! Our posture supports our body and helps keep us balanced. There are so many benefits to working our posture such as: Reduced lower back pain (I have that!)- when we stand or sit slouchy, it puts pressure lower back, spine, discs, ligaments and muscles. I find this pretty incredible cuz honestly I forgot thru severe back pain sometimes and slouching helps me feel better sometimes cuz it makes me feel like I’m not straining to keep my back up. It’s hard work! Fewer headaches (Whaaaat?!)- again with the tension! When we put too much tension in our neck and shoulders it contributes to our headaches. Increased energy (daily struggle for all of us, helloooo, that’s why we are all caffeine addicts!)- when the muscles and joints in our body do not have to work too hard, it helps give us more energy. Makes sense right? Decreased tension in shoulders and neck (that constant neck turning and shoulder holding thing we do)- keep our neck and shoulders straight helps avoid the overuse of those joints and ligaments that would cause them to freak out. It helps our joints, lungs, WORKOUTS and I could go on!! Amazing right?! So happy better posture Friday everyone!! Let’s us all not forget to strengthen our backs when we work out and elevate our posture during our daily hustle ❤️

Happy Sunday Funday!!! 🦋🐬🐠🌴🌊 I was soooo hesitant to post this, but I look so happy!! All I kept seeing was the imperfections since I’m no where near where I dream of being, but then I thought that the whole point of this is to keep progressing! I shouldn’t be so hard on myself when I’m making a daily effort to better myself and I think all you guys are too! That is why we continue to build one another up and giving each other mini motivational pep talks. The point is that any positive change, even small changes should be praised. When we fall, our focus should be on the moment we have gotten back up! The world is so challenging and heartbreaking enough as it is, and there are so many things out of our control. This however, we CAN control.

Just chop up some lettuce, avocado slices, add cooked shrimp seasoned as you prefer, fresh salsa, Greek yogurt (my fave go-to for protein), chives, and spicy organic sprouts. I love that saying that goes something like - better to have tried than to never have tried at all. It just made me think of all the times Iv quit rather than to hv shown patience. I think that’s so important for us to remember Becuz today I was starting to get so depressed over how much weight Iv gained and worrying if I’ll be able to lose it and reach my goals. I feel so uncomfortable in my skin right now especially Becuz i am constantly bloated. I kno carbs contribute to my bloating. Pretty much anything I eat and water will cause me to bloat. It makes me feel insecure at all times. Cutting out carbs tho does not seem to be the solution tho. Neither does quitting like Iv done so many times in the past. For now I’ll jst keep admiring everyone else’s progress and keep working on my own haha. ps- sorry for the specks on the mirror...it’s glitter 😅 jk but I jst wanna thank @hollyeatright And @mil_gyms for lifting my spirits today. Having the usual this morning🍓 Now that I have started cutting, I have stopped tracking calories and honestly I feel such a burden off my shoulders. I still worry that I’m not hitting my protein goals or that I should be eating more but what I have been doing is making sure all my meals incorporate as much protein as I can add jst to help ease my mind. My body was honestly jst so tired of eating so much from bulking that I felt I needed to jst take it easy even if it meant a huge calorie drop. Iv been feeling jst fine. I kno this isn’t typically recommended but the only thing Iv noticed is that I have been waking up soooo hungry. Everyone is different tho so we all have to learn what works best for us ❤️

Ummm what?! The picture from April 9th was when I first decided to change things up health wise and as I continued to research things to see what worked for me, I decided to bulk shortly after on May 2. All I wanted was to finally see changes or results in my body and learn to do this in the smartest and healthiest way possible. It seems like just yesterday that I decided to really grab ahold of my health and develop it for the better. I finally thru the excuses away, finally stopped saying “I need to get on a diet,” I finally developed consistency, I finally developed patience, I finally developed endurance, I finally took charge, I finally did it! Finally... I know I can do better, be better, and feel better. That’s all it takes? Why did I wait so long 😱 We all have the ability to mold ourselves physically and mentally. All you have to do is choose to love yourself💝

I am about to temporarily come out of my bulk Becuz it’s time to get rid of the the extra cushion I hv accumulated in the last couple months. I was thinking about going longer on my bulk but I’m worried that if I gain anymore cushion, I’ll start to get too uncomfortable in my own skin. I plan on easing out of the bulk by dropping 100 cals per week though. I do have concerns about this being too much of a decrease or too little of one. Anyone kno what the best way is to transition is in a safe manner? 💓
