Oh hi...👋🏼 Long time no seeeee👀 I’ve been a bit MIA, not only on this page, but at the gym in general. The past few months fitness has fallen on the waist side while I’ve been trying to figure out a few other things that are going on in my life. But getting back in there tonight felt ooooooh so sweet😊 lifting again and realizing my body is still as strong as it was before (even though I start dripping sweat in half the time) felt great. Heath is still super important to me and I’m getting back into eating health (because hi that’s also fallen to the waist side..ice cream and pizza anyone..?🙃) so if you’ve stuck around, thank you, can’t wait to jump back into it❤️ #fitness #girlswholift #gym #workout

I conquered a BIG fear last night... riding on the back of a motorcycle 😬! YES - we wore helmets! We just snapped a quick pic outside the gas station with out them ;) All I could think about though was the concept of SURRENDER & how similar it was to this particular fear/experience. The more I focused on hanging on so tight, trying to lean away from the curves, noticing how fast we were going, or if there was a car behind or beside us or WHATEVER.. the more worry & distrustful I felt. Therefore, the more I wanted to white knuckle & grip & fight. I wanted control & wanted to force it MY way... so similar to life, right? It wasn’t until I allowed myself to take a deep breath, close my eyes, allow Neil to take over & focus on TRUSTING that I would be okay, that I ended up not only surviving the experience, but ENJOYING it. I started to REALLY love the feeling of the wind, the smell of a hot summer night, and appreciate how beautiful the sky was. I loved leaning into the feminine energy of receiving ALL THE FEELS. How good it felt to just be present in the moment without FEAR, and just in awe of a beautiful evening with the man I love ❤️ Surrendering, mentally, isn’t pretty. Your head screams at you & nearly every cell in your body will tell you that you’re about to die. That it’s not safe, you can’t trust, don’t do it - don’t risk it. THIS IS THE WORK. Acknowledging the fear & dancing with it. On a motor cycle, or in life - it’s about tuning into your truth & KNOWING that you are safe to play, laugh & experience your world ❤️ And any time those voices pop up that tell you otherwise, lean in sis ✨

Did you know the ONLY TIME you should have a supplement instead of whole food is post workout? 〰️ Did you know that there are also post workout stacks that are much more effective than others? 〰️ I used to use the same protein post-workout AND as a meal replacement throughout the day- I thought protein was protein and would get me the results I was working towards. 〰️ Needless to say- I was wrong. 〰️ I had gone years working out SOOO Freaking hard and wondering why my results were mediocre. 〰️ I was “in shape” but I felt really… stagnant. 〰️ My muscles weren’t growing and I wasn’t seeing any type of changes happen with my body. 〰️ Come to find out- our bodies need more than just protein. Before our body digests and utilizes protein, it needs to repair the microtears in our muscles created through our workout. (This is totally normal & part of the process for building lean muscle- no need to freak out 😉) 〰️ Glycogen is the first thing that our body needs post workout. 〰️ If we do NOT feed our body carbs post-workout- our body will convert protein to energy (glycogen) BEFORE it is utilized for muscle repair. 〰️ By implementing Pure Dexanhydrous Glucose as part of a post workout routine- you’re supplying your body with the energy that it needs. Follow that up with a Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate- and your are fueling your body in the best possible way Post Workout. 〰️ Our bodies immediately go into “fight or flight” mode when they are deficient in an area- after a hard workout- our glycogen stores are depleted- what does this mean? 〰️ If our body doesn’t restore it’s glycogen- its going to breakdown protein through a process called glycogenesis to restore glycogen & as a result —> we aren’t synthesizing all 24g-ish of protein we just ingested. 〰️ Since I started including a Pure Dexanhydrous Glucose supplement (Ignition) in my Post-Workout (Phormula-1) Shake I have gained a substantial amount of lean muscle mass. 🍔 HOW TO EAT OUT 🍔 Cooking, eating, and portioning food at home is the easiest and most accurate way to hit your nutrition targets but you shouldn’t avoid eating out! Socializing is a huge part of the food we consume, the difference is that during this time period you need to make mindful choices to help you hit your goals! 1. Track everything. To the best of your ability, track it all- and even assume a 10% overage on your portion sizes. 2. Most chain restaurants will have their nutrition information posted online or even already entered into tracking apps like MyFitnessPal You can look at the menu ahead of time and plan what you want to eat based off of the macros you have available. 3. Don’t be afraid to ask for menu substitutions (no bun on burger, fruit or salad instead of fries, dressing on the side, etc etc) or even ask politely to order off menu! If you’re trying to be more strict with your targets, almost all restaurants have some sort of grilled protein with steamed or sautéed veggie! 4. Alcohol has calories too! I will post an infographic to my stories to help you with this. 5. Know WHY you are eating out. Are you trying to experience new food? Save up your macros and plan best you can but enjoy and experience your time out! Are you on a date or out with friends? Stay a little more strict to your macros or even eat a meal at home before and don’t eat out- focus more on the company of your loved ones! 6. Some of my favorite “drinks” to order that help me blend in at the bar but not actually be drinking (my friends thank me for being the DD later!) are club and lime (looks like vodka soda or gin and tonic) and Diet Coke (looks like a whiskey coke)
