❗COMPOUND MOVEMENTS❗ Compound movements are absolutely essential to include in your workout. 🏋🏽🏋🏻‍♂️ These movements include: Squats - A vigorous exercise which works the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Muscles such as your calves, core, and back also play into the strength put into your squat! Deadlifts - An incredible exercise for burning fat, and gaining muscle, the deadlifts work an unreal amount of muscles such as the glutes, hamstrings, trapezius (upper and middle), rhomboids, and so many more. Overhead Press - The overhead press is a must need for any shoulder workout. The overhead press works all three heads of the shoulder, as well as working the triceps, trapezius, and even the pectorals. Bench Press - Most peoples favourite! The bench is a dominator when it comes to growing a big chest, it’s a must need due to how well it strengthens the chest muscles! The bench press works the pectoralis major, triceps brachii, the front of the deltoids, and even your trapezius! Pull-ups - A very difficult but rewarding exercise. This is usually found in calestiencis or cross-fit however you can still see plenty of bodybuilders doing pull-ups. The pull-up targets the latissimus dorsi (Lats) better than any other exercise, it also works the biceps, and forearms. Barbell Row - Another incredibly important back exercise that you really need to include into your workout! The barbell row is a type of “Full body” compound movement, in which the row works your upper & lower back, hips, and your arms.
