Lift O’Clock!! 💪🏻 Celebrating International Chest Day with some Bench and trcieps work. New PRs as I upped all my weights across the board. Stoked to see progress in my lifts. Have been incorporating a lot more accessories based on Jeff Cavaliere (@athleanx) and KC Mitchell (@that1legmonster) recommendations. Once I get my app up and running I’ll post the exercises executed. For now, I’ll continue gathering metrics to feed into the app. Yes, this is the first I’ve mentioned any app. It’s been a concept for a while and am finally putting some effort into building it. I’m hoping @wnemay and I can get a few ideas off the ground soon. We have a huge focus on developing apps for the health and fitness industries. Keto-wise I had a couple of burritos. Tortillas have tons of carbs which may have thrown my daily carb intake over by ~10g. The hike this past weekend may have suffered because I was well under my minimum daily carb intake. While I had Clif Bloks and date bars I just didn’t have enough energy in the tank to finish off what I had planned. Every year, I start off with the mindset "This will be the year I get my health together," and I've probably done that the last 4-5 years.⠀ ⠀ I'm so happy that we are almost 4 months into this new year and I've really stayed accountable to myself and have kept the promises I've made 🙏🔑⠀ ⠀ This summer will be the true test - hanging by my sisters pool 🏊👙 and taking trips to the beach 🌊☀ but I need to be committed enough to replace the alcohol 🍾 with a seltzer water 💧🚰 and pizza 🍕 and fried clam strip 🐟 with something that won't deter my progress as much. ⠀ ⠀ I'm so excited for summer 🌞🌴🏄🎇 but summer is when I get distracted & venture off from my goals, because I like having a good time. NOT THIS YEAR 😝😝🚫👎🙅⠀ ⠀ I think what the difference this year is versus previous years is my mentality and my mindset. Last year, I started a program in July, and I got 4 weeks 🏋‍♀🏋‍♀ in and just totally gave up because of the pizza 🍕 and those clam strips 🐟 and me wanting to enjoy my summer, EVEN THOUGH I had seen great progress with the program I was doing. I started this year mentally stronger and more committed to my goals 🙌🙌 and I KNOW I am going to see it through REGARDLESS of anything that tries to get in the way 💛
