There’s no day like a SNOW day! ❄️ • • Happy Thursday friends!! I woke up to a blanket of snow outside and WOW that’s not something I’m used too! I live in the dessert so snow is not common around here! We aren’t really sure how to handle it but I do know that It makes me want to stay at home all day and snuggle up! With work, school, Instagram and (attempting) to have a social life, sometimes I forget to make time for ME and my self care! I need to make this more of a priority! I’m going to start by trying to not spend as much time on my phone. I tend to get caught up in social media and before I know it, I’ve been scrolling through for hours!! Making small changes can make a HUGE difference! I refuse to stop making this smoothie.... even if it’s 30 degrees and there’s snow on the ground. It’s a delicious combo of natural sugars, protein, and healthy fats. Also has two sneaky servings of veggies 😏 Chocolate, PB, and Banana Smoothie (no added sugar) 1 small frozen banana 1 cup frozen cauliflower or zucchini 1/2 cup yogurt or 1/2 an avocado 2 tbsp peanut butter 2 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen Nut milk to blend (I use about 3/4 cup) I like to top mine with extra banana, peanut butter, yogurt, and granola bc texture is EVERYthing. Spicy Smokey Tomato Pasta by @delicious_and_healthy_by_maya 🍝 Recipe:⠀ Ingredients⠀ 1 can tomatoes⠀ 1 onion or scallion - thinly sliced⠀ 1/2 tsp smoked paprika⠀ 1/4 tsp chili powder⠀ 1 tsp maple syrup or coconut sugar⠀ 1 clove garlic - optional⠀ Salt or shoyu for seasoning⠀ Extra Virgin olive oil⠀ 1/2 tsp kudzu or corn starch for thickening⠀ Water as needed⠀ Fresh parsley and basil⠀ Spelt spaghetti⠀ ⠀ How To Make:⠀ 1. Cook pasta according to the instructions. Season it with olive oil when done⠀ 2. Sauté onions and spices on olive oil until softened and fragrant, add garlic if using, then tomatoes and syrup (to make it less sour). Add 1/2 cup water, pinch of salt and some shoyu (1-2 tsp) and simmer for about 20 minutes or longer, till everything is soft. ⠀ 3. Dilute kudzu of corn starch with 1 tbsp water. Add to the sauce to thicken it. Check if it needs more salt of spices. Add pasta, parsley and basil. And a splash of olive oil.⠀ Enjoy! #veganfoodspace #veganlunch #lunchideas

Happppy Thursday! Just got done eating some amazing banana chocolate chip pancakes 🥞 😋 I topped them with banana slices, coconut flakes, granola, and pure maple syrup. Recipe below! 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour 2 Tbsp coconut sugar 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 2/3 cup @milkadamia 1 small banana mashed (1/3 cup) Mini chocolate chips Cooking spray Heat pan to medium low. In a large bowl add the flour, coconut sugar, baking soda and salt. Whisk together until mixed well. Make a big crater in the middle and add the milk, banana, and chocolate chips. Mix together until there are no more dry spots, but be careful not to mix too much or the pancakes will be tough. Spray cooking spray onto the heated pan and cook 1-2 minutes on each side until bubbles form.

High protein Asian whole bowl 🤩 - Avo, Mung bean sprouts, steamed edamame beans (they sell edamame beans in the frozen section at Woolworths, they’re new and they’re the bomb), kale, broccoli, carrots and marinated tofu. Tofu is something I’ve definitely grown to love. If it’s prepared right, it’s amazing! I couldn’t stop eating it. Tofu is also a complete protein which means it contains all 9 essential amino acids that we need to get from food🌱 - How to cook the tofu 🌱 (I also bought the tofu from woolies) Cut the tofu into cubes & then soak it in this marinade for about 30 minutes - 3 tbsp tamari or soya sauce - 1 tsp grated ginger - 2 grated garlic cloves - 1 tsp coconut sugar - 2 tsp maple syrup - 1 tbsp coconut oil - 1/4 tsp paprika - squeeze of lemon . Once it’s marinated, pour the marinade in a pan, once it’s very hot, add the cubes of tofu and cook for about 10-15 minutes. It’s honestly so delicious! . I topped the bowl with a drizzle of tahini 🌟 . This bowl has 23g of protein 26g of complex carbs 20g of healthy fat 5g of fiber 🌱🌱🌱 #balancedmeals

I went to @bulkbarnfoods for corn starch, rice, organic green tea and pasta. Then I went to No Frills for their dollar deals to get fruit and coconut milk (it was mass chaos in there). It got me thinking if it really does cost less to shop zero waste. So I looked it up. Corn starch: Bulk $4.60/kg Wal-Mart $4.50/kg White Long Grain Rice: Bulk $4.75/kg Wal-Mart $3.10/kg Fusilli: Bulk $3.75/kg Wal-Mart $3.30/kg Wal-Mart won every round. I did choose the cheapest version of each product at @walmartcanada so name brands would cost more but I’m still surprised to see that bulk didn’t cost less. They were pretty similar but if you’re worried about money a couple cents and dollars can add up fast. The organic sencha green tea did win though. It was $64.05/kg @bulkbarnfoods and is $179.60/kg @davidstea. Adicione as farinhas aos poucos e o leite, adicione o BerryKI e as frutinhas - misture bem tudo. Asse em forno pré-aquecido a 200 graus, até fazer o teste do palito (uns 30/40min).
