Happy Sunday y’all!! I just got back into town from Kentucky. It was a wonderful weekend with family, despite the circumstances. I truly enjoy getting to know my husband’s family better, and I am so blessed to have a large family that is so accepting and loving of both sides. 🖤 I prefer Sunday’s to be my day of rest, but since I was with family yesterday, I swapped my days around. . I asked, y’all answered but whew the vote was CLOSE- one vote apart. So today, ARMS win, but I will post a workout for back muscles later in the week for y’all who want back 😉 stay tuned, but I hope y’all enjoy this burner below! . I will say I am genetically blessed with good arms, thanks to my mama (shoutout to @aphill0514). However, I believe in training all muscles for a balanced “composition” and overall wellness. I typically don’t burn as much doing upper body workouts, so I like to incorporate plyo moves between my tri/supersets to keep my heart rate up. Below, I have the HIIT circuit shown after the first triset, but you’ll repeat the same HIIT circuit another time after the superset, and finish with it at the end for a burner. Make sure you warm up before you start all of this, so your muscles are ready to go for the HIIT portions! However, if you don’t want to break the HIIT up, you can opt to do all the sets first, and then 6 rounds of it at the end. Modify and go! . Arms + HIIT Triset 1: ⚡️3x20 Alternating shoulder presses ⚡️3x8 Hammer curl into wide bicep curl ⚡️3x12 Lateral raises HIIT (30s work/30s rest, perform 1x ea.): 🔥Plyo push ups on bench to failure -> transition into regular inclined push ups 🔥Burpees 🔥Split squat jacks Superset: (not filmed) ⚡️4x12 Tricep cable pulldowns ⚡️4x12 Sumo squat + upright rows HIIT (repeat above for 2 rounds)🔥🔥 Triset: ⚡️3x16 Squat + alternating single arm overhead press ⚡️3x12 Tricep kickbacks ⚡️3x20 Cross-body bicep curls HIIT finisher (repeat above for 3 rounds)🔥🔥🔥 . FYI- exercises with the word “alternating” give you the max total reps for both arms- so if it says 20 total, it’s 10 each arm 😉 . I love my house a certain way and I love structure . I’m not ashamed to say I suffer anxiety and ocd. I’m also not ashamed to say I workout to help me through the day. My goals this week are to find my inner chill (24 years and still haven’t found it) and submit my last assignment for this module .
