Regrann from @patriziodirenzo - PURE POISON @patriziodirenzo @kabukinyc Ukiyo-e are Japanese woodcuts and paintings. In the beginning they were black and white and were not regarded as works of art in Japan for a long time. These pictures like Katsushika Hokusai fascinated me as a child. My father used to make many copper engravings which landscapes were engraved on bronze in black. These kinds of pictures are a great inspiration for me. Ukiyo means "live and enjoy now". My photographs are never in the context of reality. Rather, it is a conscious turning away from it. Reality can serve as inspiration, but it is always stylized in my work. My sensuality and the associated pleasure are much greater when viewing the images. My pictures thus give me much more scope for fantasy and do not restrict me. In my opinion, the surreal is much more difficult to create. Surrealism combined with reality can draw the viewer into the orbit faster. Francois Berthoud was the first in the fashion world to explain to me how the graphic aspect has power and how to deal with shapes. Together with my make-up artist Kabuki from New York, we developed all graphic forms on the computer and had them printed on self-adhesive foils. These were subsequently cut out with a laser. The individual graphic patterns were subsequently applied to the model with surgical precision for hours. We glued between 5-8 hours per motif. The model Iekeliene Stange was not allowed to move in this process. It was a big test of patience for you, thank you for that, I don't think anyone but you would have gotten through it. Since I am not a big fan of Photoshop, I decided on this mechanical way. The whole shooting was a kind of meditation, the flow was definitely there. Many thanks to the whole team. It was an unforgettable experience. #iekelinestange #kabukinyc #jeweleryshoot #jewelrydesigner #jewellery #jewellerymaker #fashionphotography #fashionphotographer #fashionblogger #patriziodirenzo #artphotographer #makeupartist #makeuprevolution #makeupartist - #regrann
