Are you keeping the promises you make to yourself?😯 . Over the years, self development and reflection has taught me many things. When I dived deeper into behavioral psychology with my masters, it came clear to me that mindset is a huge aspect to everything that we do. Self development can be reflected using Maslow's hierarchy of needs. This begins with physiological needs being the highest (shelter, water, food) and the least being self-actualization (reaching your full potential, whatever that may be). . Self reflection is a psychological need along with self-esteem, self-love and so on. Maybe I’ll get skinnier just by reading the recipe? CLEARLY, this magical biscuit has mystical powers beyond all scientific theory!!! 🧙‍♂️ . . I clicked on it. I mean, the cookie does look delicious.🤷‍♀️ At no time did I ever think consuming this delicious-ness would I be burning fat whilst eating it. . . I entered the recipe into My Fitness Pal to figure out the macros. (swipe across to see). Each cookie contains 9.6g of fat. Is that BAD? Not necessarily. I don’t personally believe any food is inherently good or bad for you. I do believe incorporating “treat” food or “fun” food into your diet is important. . . PLEASE don’t fall for this marketing BS!!! If you want the cookie, make it and eat it. (Could you please make me some while you’re at it?) 🙏 But eat them in moderation. Don’t eat 10 cookies because the website claims that you will be burning fat whilst you eat them. IT’S NOT A THING!!! ✌️

ALWAYS eat the salmon skin. It’s the best part and I always save it for last. 😋 Pro tip to making your salmon skin extra crispy 👉🏼 broil your salmon in a cast iron with avocado oil and 1-2 minutes before it’s done, take it out and separate the meat from the skin with a spatula. Put it back in the oven to broil for the remaining time with the skin and meat separated. It makes it so crispy and delicious. 🐟👌🏼

Self care is soooooo important. Yesterday was one of the worse because #endometriosis sucks! Luckily I survived a few things I needed to get done by 10-10:30 am. Then I was literally done. I was either on the couch or in bed most of the day. I slept when I wasn't withering in pain. My weekly weigh in? I was up a pound as my body prepared for what it was about to go through. Today I'm incredibly sore after the torture I was through, so epsom salt bath it is! Take care of yourself! Dinner tonight was a quorn stir fry 🤩 I don’t really know what to call it because I pretty much just added a bunch of different things 😂 In this plate of deliciousness, there is quorn pieces, chopped baby tomatoes, chickpeas, carrots, salad mix and red pepper sauce. It was fantastic 🤤 Today has been pretty chill. Exam season is coming up and I’m pretty worried because I need to pass my subjects to get into the college course I got an offer at. #Repost @ketomary71 ・・・ During the heaviest years of my life-my battle with obesity from 1997 to 2014 my goal was always to get back to the weight that I was in this picture on the left. That was my lowest adult weight that I could ever recall. This was just one of the few pictures I had that I would look at and that I would dream about being back at that weight. Can we just say screw the scale? I am so over that number and how powerful it seems to be at keeping women from just being our best!!! On the left I never worked out, I mostly just starved myself with low fat food and extreme caloric restriction so that I wouldn’t gain weight. On the right, I work out five days a week lifting heavy and doing minimal cardio and I’m also not starving-in fact I’m very satisfied. I weigh 30 (yes THIRTY) pounds more on the right than I do in the picture on the left. I could let that mentally mess with me and tell myself that I have not really reached my goal because I don’t weigh what I weigh in the picture on the left, but personally I prefer the way I look at age 47 on the right much more than I do at age 24 on the left. (HA-the one thing that hasn’t changed is my hair LOL 80s baby!!) My focus these days is much less about the scale and more about how I feel, and I’m finally reaching a point where I am caring less and less about the scale and concerned more with how I feel in my skin, my clothes fitting, and just loving the skin that I am in. I’m not getting any younger so if I don’t love myself now, then when?
