My 4-20 special dinner treat. Fried Chicken N Wuffles. I was actually able to keep within my macros and enjoy this amazing dinner. I went low calorie and low carb most of the day. And I picked leg day because it’s the biggest calorie burn for me. And I used @kodiakcakes protein buttermilk pancake mix. And I bought one piece of fresh fried chicken from the market. Standing hamstring curls: 5 x 8-10 Superset with walking lunges 2. Leg Extensions superset with Seated DB calf raises 4 x 6-10 3. Leg press 6 x 10 4. Lying Hamstring curls 5 x 8-10 5: RDL's: 4 x 10 Like I said above, just control the weight. Mind Muscle Connection(MMC). Go beast mode! Don't hold back. However, a lot of people start to put blame on things that aren't necessarily true. People start to blame their genetics, or they are eating too much and have to eat less and less and less and less. They might blame it on their workouts thinking they aren't working out hard enough or long enough, or even that healthy food is too nasty and not sustainable to eat. What ends up happening is they either give up or eat less and workout harder and longer which leads to a lot of muscle mass loss and potential health deficiencies. The truth is, 99% of the time, it is things we do not often think about. A lot of times it is because our sleep quantity and quality is not great, you aren't drinking enough which leads to increased food consumption as well as water retention, you aren't strength training despite working out a lot, and you aren't being honest with yourself and your diet and what you're actually consuming on a daily basis. 2 lessons here: - 1. When ya feel like quitting or you’re telling yourself to quit, you’re cutting yourself short. You’re putting a mental limit on yourself and trying to define - 2. Have a support system. I would not be nearly as confident if I didn’t have my lovey spotter. She’s always there to tell me I can, when I say I cant. - For me, squats were always good but never quite the level I intended it to be. I could never push over 275. It was always rough at that. I couldn’t for the life of me, figure out why. - I started doing 2 leg days a week, and really focused on finding a stance that allowed for me to used my glutes and hamstrings more as they lacked a lot. - Since making this switch, jumped up to 275 for 5 today, then turned around and tossed up 285 for 3. Not by any means an impressive set of numbers....however, it’s progress. But I’m still a bitch. - Leg days are growing to be my favorite days and surely excited to see what I’ll be loading up on my squats by end of 2019. #legday #quads #hamstrings
