Let me tell you about these flowers- Steven has been ultra crazy busy and stressed- phd life is hard! Well last week was particularly busy and stressful for him and specifically Valentine’s day. He told me he would have to leave extra early on Valentine’s Day morning and wouldn’t get back until almost midnight. I was pretty bummed but understood. Valentine’s Day also just so happened to be the day my toddler had her longest and most intense tantrum... well I broke down too during this and couldn’t help but cry too after 1.5 hours of this and all of a sudden I hear Steven come in the front door. Amidst trying to hold Evy as she’s screaming and occasionally trying to hit me and amongst my tears of having no idea what to do for her I see him with this giant beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers and greenery. This guy left work in the middle of his busy stressful day, rode his bike 3 miles uphill in the snow, bought this gorgeous bouquet, and came home to deliver it to me with a kiss. It was perfect timing and even though he had to leave almost immediately after it was such a sweet and thoughtful blessing. Our marriage is far from perfect but wow am I so grateful for this man and his love for our little familia. 💕*also he so kindly let me take his photo with the flowers today and didn’t think it was annoying!
