🌍HISTAMINE- 👩🏻‍💻Now my CSci application is sent off, and my lovely boys GCSE revision feels more stable, the next job for me is trying to get my MSc dissertation published- 👩🏻‍💻It is entitled ‘Experiences of Living with Histamine Intolerance’. The idea came from myself as living with it and ALOT of hard work gaining a medical diagnosis, and was also inspired by the huge histamine intolerance community that struggle with recognition and support- 🌍Sharing my journey along the way to publication will allow me to keep motivated (I hope!), keep me focused and get the valuable information I collected out there to everyone in a meaningful and useful way to contribute to the academic literature- 🔆But importantly too, to ‘be part of the conversation’ to raise awareness of histamine intolerance- - ⚠️Firstly, if anyone is concerned about their health, it is important to seek medical advice to exclude allergy and/or disorders of mast cell function. That is very important- - 👫After allergy and mast cell disorders have been excluded, there are still many people who know they have histamine symptoms. Some receive medical care and treatment for their symptoms, and for others, information can be easy to find of others experiences for how they have managed, what they eat and support from other sufferers- ❓But what happens if we can’t explain it is histamine we are affected by and we cannot make enough sense of our symptoms to explain them to our medical practitioners? What do we do then? We must seek medical advice but how do we explain what is going on? - 💯I think everyone needs to be more aware of histamine intolerance symptoms. By doing that we can help ourselves recognise what we may be experiencing and, if we don’t have any symptoms ourselves, we may support others and be able to help someone else seek medical and health care that may be meaningful to them- - 🗣We need to carry on raising awareness by everyone who suffers and by everyone who doesn’t -💯We need histamine friends💯- 🌍👬👭👫- - 👩🏻‍💻I will write more about histamine and histamine intolerance along the way- - 👩🏻‍🔬Happy Day. Started doing a little barbell complex: 1x power clean 1x squat clean 1x squat clean and press *Up the weight each round. I hit 105kg and then just went to 1RM clean and press (107.5kg), then finished with 1RM clean (117.5kg). . Then, 5 rounds for time: 20cal row 10x burpees over rower 5x 60kg power snatch 5x bar muscle ups . Why, multiple muscle groups require more fuel, also the intensity you can create while training legs is HUGE so don’t be afraid to mix things up. Heavy load - fewer reps more sets is a great place to start the session. 85-95% - 8-12 is a great place to hit muscle growth in the mid set. 50-60% - at higher reps lower sets are always good finishers for the set. Challenging movements like the walking lunge of so beneficial to growth and stability so try the movements that challenge you most. Andy James.
