#EqualityRight ? The amount of push ups needed to pass an Army Basic Fitness Test (BFA) for a 41-45 year old MALE is 20 repetitions... And the amount of push ups needed to pass for a 17-25yr old FEMALE is 21 repetitions... 16 year age gap, 1x push up difference. Thats disappointing to me and it’s almost embarrassing... . . . Quite a controversial topic and it might be risky posting about it if I aim to have a business out of coaching upcoming serving or currently serving females in defence/emergency services. . . My belief is this; “same job, same standard.” I don’t want to feel I need “special care” or a separate standard because of my gender. In terms of my job, I’m doing exactly what my brothers are doing. This is my personal opinion, I don’t care if you agree with me or not. Perhaps some females can see this through a different light rather just a “hate speech.” . . WOMEN, WE CAN FUCKING DO THE WORK! 💪 I’ve met so many incredible, strong females I n Defence and I know there’s more out there across ALL services too. How bout we show the world we can put in, gain respect for our duties and service by meeting the same standards as the males! That’s #EQUALITY to me. Put in the work ✊❤️ (Dead stop push ups).

I have, many times, and that one bite has lead me to the bottom of an ice cream bucket many times. 😅 . Those “one bites,” add up very quickly especially compounded weekly. . Whether your goal is losing weight or putting on lean muscle, tracking your macros is important. . When we track our macros (protein, carbs, and fats) based on our goals, we are either putting ourselves in a calorie deficit or calorie surplus. . If your goal is to lose weight then a calorie deficit is a necessity. . If your goal is to put on some lean size then a calorie surplus is a necessity. . Knowing where the to start is the hard part. If you haven’t been tracking your food, then I’d start there. . It doesn’t mean that you can’t have “treats,” but if you aren’t tracking then it’s hard to stay on track with your goals! . . . . What’s your biggest challenge with your nutrition?

What got you into your profession: I have been a police officer for 14 years. I was hired by NYPD in 2005 and work operation impact and 4x12 patrol until I transferred to White Plains Police Department In 2007. I spent about 18 months on patrol and then was moved to the Emergency Service Unit. We specialize in rope rescue, vehicle extraction, and special weapons and tactics. . What motivates you: One of the minimal requirements is that you pass a Cooper test (1 1/2 mile run, push ups, and sit-ups according to age and gender) in the 70th percentile. It was a huge part of why I took such interest in being in shape and helping my fellow co workers achieve the same goal. I am now a state certified PT instructor who runs the cooper tests to screen new applicants who apply for my unit. I am a Crossfit instructor in my spare time and have been doin it since 2014. . “Your seminar was a great help to me. I would like to implement ur ideology to my job and see if we can make this part of our in service training course. All of the topics discussed at the seminar I feel would help my co workers and myself a great deal. In 2010 we lost a officer after he had a heart attack chasing a perpetrator. Total wellness is paramount for people in this line of work and I believe this is the course that can help integrate into our culture here.” .
