Se da fanciulla mi avessero detto che un giorno avrei fatto la modellina nana per un marchio di abbigliamento yoga, avrei riso molto. Oggi che quel giorno è rocambolescamente arrivato rido ancora di più perché questo significa che anche noi piccolette, non straordinariamente fisicate, non dotate di un volto angelico (però i capelli ci sono eh!) e decisamente stagionate dal punto di vista anagrafico… possiamo essere chiamate a rappresentare tutte coloro che amano praticare yoga con gioia (e una sana dose di leggerezza). Grazie a @yogagomilan che mi ha scelta - insieme ad altre amiche yogini - per indossare sul campo questa nuova collezione super colorata: mi sono divertita tantissimo! Every morning I go outside to let the dogs out...sometimes I pay more attention to my phone than the sun rising, birds chirping, crisp chill in the air, or just the dogs sniffing around. Throughout the day, I rush outside, rush to my car, rush to the next appointment, job, etc...instead of taking the air around me in. In the evenings, my favorite thing to do is sit out on our porch with some wine and the fire going...but sometimes I’m on my phone and not truly enjoying the softness all around me. Although I could do better, I think that I do do a pretty good job of taking time to appreciate nature each day. It may be stopping to take a deep breath of air, or pausing to see the beautiful colors of a sunrise or sunset. Nature is all around us no matter where we are. We just have to stop and see it. . . Day 9 of #ALOvelyEarth is #fireflypose This isn’t an easy one to do, so please respect your body. Some days this happens for me and most days it doesn’t! I got lucky on the day taking these pictures! Other options: take the arm balance without straightening the legs, take a wide legged forward fold (standing or sitting), so to heck with it and do whatever pose you like 😂! Notice my first split, compared to last and the depth. ⁣ ⁣ Very “simple” but affective movements to target your hip mobility, flexibility and inner thighs. ⁣ ⁣ 4 rounds of 4 leg lifts, 4 Back and forths (try to keep your shoulders stacked over your wrist) and 15 second center split hold (roll forward vs. sliding down). 𝐃𝐚𝐠 𝟏𝟖: 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 Vanmorgen rolde ik mijn matje uit in de les van Franca bij @yoga_jiva, naast de mat van Lijanne. Lijanne komt altijd op zaterdag naar de les die ik geef, maar deze ochtend lagen we mat aan mat om te practicen. Afgelopen vrijdag rolde ik mijn matje uit in Eindhoven, achter de mat van Franca 🔄. Dit vind ik zó mooi aan Ashtanga yoga. Het is zo’n nederige practice. De docenten doen hetzelfde als de studenten. De docenten zijn, en blijven, ook student. Docenten zijn niet ‘meer’, ‘beter’ of ‘machtiger’ dan de studenten. Ik kom uit het onderwijs en het begrip ‘docent’ heeft in deze twee werelden zo’n andere betekenis! Ashtanga yoga is 99% practice en 1% theorie. Dus blijven practicen is essentieel. En dat is wat het zo mooi maakt. Er wordt lesgegeven vanuit het hart, met passie, toewijding en vanuit eigen practice-ervaring. Met wederzijds respect als basis. En doordat dezelfde ‘effort’ gegeven wordt, kan de band tussen de docent en de student heel krachtig en waardevol worden! . . . . . 📸 door @emmy Thanks 🙏🏻

In the mean time round your back and then arch it. Coordinate your breath to your movements. . Coordinating your breath to your movements will boost your experience so try to be conscious about that too!
