Today is the 6 month mark since launching my IG 💫 I still remember how nervous I was in Tulum, mustering up the courage to share my first post on my birthday because I hadn’t exposed myself on social media before. It took a GREAT deal of pushing by a dear friend @giancarlozucca over the phone to get me to hit the first share button - it felt like he pushed me off a mountain top- and I will forever thank him, I’m now nearing 100 posts. The journey for pursuing a dream to share my passion for health and fitness with the world hasn’t been easy, nor has it been linear. I’ve been building a brand as a novice while continuing to work a full-time career. I’ve over-exerted myself many times, held myself to too high of standards, compared myself, and lost site of many of the fun moments by being too caught up in worry or judgment. This journey has also been incredibly rewarding and worth every moment. I wanted to share some of my biggest learning points from my post 6-month social media deep dive, and I hope this information helps anyone out there: ➡️ Authenticity is the key ➡️ Have FUN with everything ➡️ Stay true to your purpose ➡️ Establish list of 'mentor' accounts ➡️ Lead w/ gratitude ➡️ Set aside dedicated time to plan content ➡️ Support others ➡️ If you don’t feel like posting don’t ➡️ Don’t be glued to IG w/ friends & family ➡️ Study your analytics/insights ➡️ Brush off criticism To the next 6 months! Nothing changes if nothing changes. I have been so unhappy with certain aspects of my life. Not my family. More about my career and what I’m doing with my life. It’s easy to sit there and let life pass me by. It’s scary to take a leap of faith and follow my own path. 👣 The new path I’m on is scary because it’s unknown. I was cleaning out my closet today, and found my original Yoga Teacher Training journal from when I started my first 200hr training with @katiebrauertransform almost 6 years ago. . The same training that I am now leading here on Cape Cod. . Wow. 🤩 . I remember that person so vividly. . Perfect on paper, but struggling so much. . A yearning for connection, for inner-peace, for MORE. . Wanting to be seen, but scared to show my true Self. . Wanting to be loved, but scared to Love. . It is crazy to think back on that time in my life; it almost feels like recalling a movie that I have seen. . So different than I am today, but at the same time very familiar. . I am still so grateful to be on this journey and excited for the students that have joined me on this path, both the Spring 2019 gang and now this current group that is already halfway through! .
