You know what will? Demonizing said cookie, labeling it off limits. Swearing you won’t have one again. And then when that “willpower” wears off... eating the whole box. . 2: Cookies. It’s not eating one here and there that will “make you fat/unhealthy”, but going on a strict diet all week and then binging on ALL the foods all weekend or even having a whole “cheat day” where you overeat all the things... that’s unhealthy. And when you allow all foods and eat in moderation, there’s no need to have cheat days because you don’t feel deprived 😉 . 3: BECAUSE COOKIES ARE YUMMY & HEALTHY FOR THE SOUL. And you can eat all the greens you want, but if you’re constantly preoccupied with food because of strict limitations you set for yourself... that’s not a healthy life to me. . Ok your turn! ¿COMIDA TRAMPA?🌭🌮🍔🍟🍕🍖 🍔 “Miren donde fuí a pillar a la Nutri😱”, como les conté hace un tiempo “sí soy humana, yo también consumo comida rápida”, mi alimentación es variada pero mayoritariamente saludable🍃👌🏻. 🍔 Muchos creen que la “comida trampa” te beneficia de algo metabólicamente, como que te “acelere” el metabolismo, pero lamento decepcionarlos señor@s porque la respuesta es NO😔. 🍔 A veces cuando se está en tratamientos alimentarios muy estrictos te ayuda a calmar un poco la ansiedad, pero es sólo eso🧐. 🍔 PERO lo ideal es NO estar en tratamientos alimentarios estrictos y hacer un equilibrio⚖️, adecuar bien tu alimentación en base a tus objetivos, aprender a comer de verdad y disfrutar hacerlo🙌🏻. 🍔 A veces las ”comidas trampas” pueden afectar nuestro objetivo porque todo al final y al cabo lo más importante son las CALORÍAS⭐️, si estás en déficit calórico (consumir menos calorías, para reducir tejido adiposo), tienes que ver las calorías totales que consumiste menos durante toda la semana⛔️. 🍔 EJEMPLO: Consumiste -500 calorías de tu requerimiento al día, ósea que consumiste -3.500 calorías a la semana, pero el fin de semana te zampas toda la “comida trampa”😱, fácilmente puedes llegar a comer esas 3.500 calorías, y al final quedas igual 🤷🏻‍♀️, porque no se produjo el déficit a la semana (eso sin estimar déficit por entrenamientos). 🍔 Por eso si vas a tener una “comida trampa” ve tus objetivos, asesórate con un profesional, calcula tus calorías, y si consumiste calorías en exceso ¿les doy un tips? 😏...¡ENTRENA MÁS!, así “ocupas” esas calorías “extras” que consumiste en tu “comida trampa” en reservas de glucógeno y posteriormente en energía para tu entrenamiento💪🏻, lo ideal que sea el mismo día que consumiste tu comida trampa o durante las 24 horas, y que sea un entrenamiento extra al ya planificado, para que se siga produciendo el déficit. 🍔 La verdad no pude comerme toda la hamburguesa, en mi mente decían igual que en GAME OF THRONES “SHAME!”🤣, ¡para la otra no me la ganará!💪🏻

When I brought one into work the other day my co-workers were quite intrigued by this variety and curious about their health benefits compared to more commonly seen orange varieties. This is what I shared with them: 👉The vitamin C content of navel and blood oranges run about the same per serving, with the navel edging out a tad ahead. Remember, vitamin C is just as important BEFORE the onset of cold symptoms as it is during a bout of sickness🤧 👉Navel and blood oranges are great sources of fiber and most of the carbohydrate content comes from natural sugars- don’t fear this type of sugar, it’s fruit, ya’ll!🥳 👉Blood oranges do contain higher amounts of anthocyanins, which is the compound (also found in blueberries and cranberries) that gives them their red color and helps fight off cell damage👊 👉They both have a sweet flavor, but the blood orange does provide a kick of tart and bitterness, so be prepared!😋 . I put it on toast, make rice salads with it, add it to pasta or whatever else I think of at the time. It’s always good to have a vegetable mixture around that you can add to things when time is tight and you really need to work some veg into your day!

Yes, I’m starting today with a green smoothie 🍵 but I’m not starting it in Tulum. Although warm weather would be really lovely right about now. 🥶 I’m currently sitting in my car after driving through LA traffic which was considerably light due to the holiday. Which got me thinking about my last vacay and my upcoming vacay 🌴 If you’re a workaholic (like me!🙋🏼‍♀️) then you probably understand the bittersweet predicament of taking time off to travel. I know I need time off to fill my reserves but actually committing to it is a whole other story! Well last night Eric & I actually booked flights to Maui... after spending days (probably over week really) talking about the flights, researching the flights, and then spending 2 hours actually booking it bc buyers remorse was starting to set in. Hahahahaha 🤣 But we did it! I’m so excited for some down time because that’s when I get more inspired about exercises. Those creative juices get flowing! Just like this smoothie... boom! I just brought it full circle. 😂 #deepthoughts
