It's #fabfitfun Friday! Got some fun done this morning. #cycleclass and #benchpress at 6am! I have been worried that since I've been #halfmarathontraining and doing A LOT more #cardio than normal I would be loosing all my muscle. This #transformationtuesday post takes us back to just 1 year ago. This date last year I made it to #onederland for the first time in VERY long time... Probably since high school! In the past year SO much has changed!! God has brought me through so much... So much growth... So much learning about myself... So much still to come!! Excited for the next year. Only 55 days till my big #blueridgehalfmarathon that hit me hard! Another thing that hit me hard was my training today. I did 50 min of #cycle then 50 min of #inclinetraining in that 100 minutes I burned almost 1300 calories!! I SHOULD be at my goal weight....My food has GOT to change! My workouts have been on point... But my food has NOT been my fuel. For the next 55 days that's is changing!! So, no bad sugar... NONE... No monsters... Nada one. I know I can do this. I have already done it. Time to seriously get back on track!! So if you see me eating something stupid or drinking a monster... Slap me... Yell at me.. Make me stop. After not being at the gym for a week.. The last 2 days of workouts have been butt kickin good! Self care is SO important! As some one who struggles with #anxiety and #depression it has taken me while to figure this out! We mamas get so busy taking care of everyone else that often times we neglect ourselves. I did that. For a long time. It took me hitting rock bottom to realize I needed to take care of myself. It's OK to make yourself a priority! You have to. Because if not.. We won't be around to take care of those we love. This morning I'm feeling a bit anxious. And like many other days I don't fully understand why! These are the steps I take for me: 5htp- I take this everyday. I ran out and my awesome Mom sent me 4 months worth! So thankful. Oils- life savor! Scripture writing- the most important one!! When I'm not faithful in this... Everything else crumbles...!! Exercise- doesn't matter what you do JUST KEEP MOVING! find something you love! This is my therapy. Can't wait to get mine in for today!! I'm dressed and ready to do little things throughout the day! Eating right- as someone who is addicted to food this is by far the hardest for me. But, I can tell when I've been bad. I get convicted... All. The. Time. My body feels awful and that is not good when you struggle with depression. So please keep me accountable!! I need it badly!! What was your wake-up call? In this week's #transformationtuesday I am going to share mine. -- When I was pregnant with #6 (last baby) the scale hit #. I was beyond disgusted but it didn't stop me from eating junk. Everytime I went to the doc after that I refused to look at the scale so I have no idea how high it got... Pretty close to 300 I'm assuming. That wasn't the most embarrassing part... -- She was my 3rd c-section. My previous 2 I wasn't as big. It required not 1 but 2 doctors to tape (yes tape) up all my fat to get my daughter out!! I cringe when I think about that moment. I always knew I was larger but I finally realized how obese I really was! -- Did my transformation happen over night? Did I start eating right and workout right away? NOPE! I can't tell you why. From 2012 to 2017 I was in a cycle. I'm sure many of you are/were the same way. Do good for awhile then bam start drinking that coke (I was totally addicted) and not waking up to exercise. If you stalk me on Facebook you will see my on again off again craziness! -- What changed? For me it was 2 things. Scripture writing and finding Just Dance Roanoke. This was Nov 2015 (started writing scripture) and April 2016 (starting going to JDR). I loved it. I am NOT a dancer but it was so fun and I was loosing weight. I think I lost 30-40 lbs while there. -- Jan 2017 I messed up my back. It was the most horrible pain I felt in my life (beside childbirth). I was told to stop exercising. So naturally I gained almost all I lost back. They had these classes at JDR called just burn and just sweat (something like that) more tabata type and I knew I needed more of that type thing. -- I was cleared to resume all activity in September. I started going to a Cross Training Gym (similar to CrossFit) and I LOVED it!! Started the 6 week challenge that changed my life Oct 9th 2017! -- There is my story! I'm not sure I have shared it all before. Find something you LOVE! It's out there. There are SO many different styles of exercise. Most of them offer a free class or 2 to try it out. Find a buddy (if you're local I'll go with you) and go!!

In tonight's 13.1 training- interval treadmill with the best running pal @serrot.saj 3 miles (a little over) I LOVE seeing progress. Granted I'm a pretty slow runner so I love seeing progress in that area! Last year when I ran a treadmill 5k for the first time I "ran" at a speed of 4.5 mph... Tonight my fast walking was 4.5 and my running was 6.0..till the end then I sprinted at 7.0 to finish. I use the picture on the left so many times for #transformationtuesday but that’s because it’s one of the photos that pushed me to start this. When I was bigger I never wanted to be in photos with my kids, especially full body ones. It was always me taking pictures of them, not with. I wish I was in a lot more of them when they were younger to have as memories. Of course now when I say “take a picture with me” all I hear is them groaning 😂. Training has started for my next big #crazystupidgoal running a half marathon! Not only that but one of the toughest ones. #blueridgehalfmarathon Just thinking back over these last 15 months is humbling. I am super excited to see progress over the next 3 months!! Yesterday @serrot.saj and I started with our "long walk" of the week. Incline walking on the treadmill. 30 min of increasing 10%-30% inclines. Dear body, I have to apologize. I’ve hated you for so many years. Hated the way you looked, the way you moved. I picked you apart, hated every flaw. There were days I starved you in hopes of being a certain size. I have stared at myself in the mirror wishing I could change things, wishing I could make stretch marks disappear. But two of the greatest human beings came from those stretch marks. Dear body, I know not everyday I’ll nourish you and treat you fairly but from here on out I’m working on loving you. Someday or one day. It’s always going to be your decision. I’m glad I chose one day, and I’ve had many day one’s but I will never regret my decision to change my life to become healthier. I did this not only for my kids but for myself. Last year I struggled with binge eating and then being upset with myself for days after. This year my goal is to understand that there will be bad days, even bad weeks and I won’t get discouraged because I’ll get right back on track. Happy New Year’s to all my family, friends and followers. I ended 2018 with a morning 3 mile jog which made me realize how much I missed that runners high (yes that does exist). I also did an arm workout at home with weights. Of course spent a few hours in the emergency room with my accident prone daughter so the glass of wine at dinner is well deserved. My 2018 had many downfalls but there were so many ups that I’ve reflected on over the past few days. From the physical aspect I’ve grown so much, I focused on building a 🍑 and I did just that! I now have a gym membership, which I thought 3 years ago I’d never do and I would never incorporate weights into my workout or I’d never get the courage to go to the gym all alone. I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store for me and my physical journey. I already have some goals set in my mind and I’m ready to focus on those. #keepingitreal post. I can #crushgoals like nobodies business. . . . Tonight I crushed a #spin goal. It felt great!! . . . I am almost at 1ooo #burpees so will up the goal to a crazy 2k.. Which means 100 burpees everyday till December 31 😜 . . . I am super competitive which helps me thrive with all things #fitness the problem is my #foodaddiction its real y'all and its do hard!! So VERY VERY hard! In #spinlass alone I have burned over 1000 calories in just 2 days!! ONE THOUSAND!! BUT, I have been eating like garbage so you would never know I'm kicking tail in the gym. . . . So, I need to take the same mindset I have in the gym and apply that to my eating. Sounds so easy, right?!? HA . . . I have decided to make small eating goals to try and get back to where I was. Don’t let a number or a letter define your beauty, your happiness and your success. I did this for so many years, I felt I wasn’t beautiful or worthy of love just because I was bigger. I have a 7 year old daughter that looks up to me. So many times I’ve caught myself saying “I’m ugly, I’m fat” in front of her and bless her loving heart she’ll say “no you’re not momma, you’re beautiful, you’re not fat.” And there have been times where she has said “I’m ugly” about herself and that breaks my heart. Happy Monday! Last night I decided to break out some old clothes of mine since I haven’t done that in a while. The pants and shirt weren’t the biggest size I was in. At my highest weight I was in a size 20/22 pants and xl/xxl shirt. These pants are size 18W and shirt is a size large. I remember being SO happy I could fit into this shirt after a few months into my journey, but it was still a little snug on me. This has been my last 2 days of #fitness. Tuesday @alisonfs made me do extreme #bootcamp before #spin. See the tree pic. At least I got my #burpees in! So, today I was feeling a little tired and sore. I still went to #spin and had to keep up with the men. Even burned a couple more calories than last night!! My goal is to finish that tree craziness by the end of the week! The #burpeechallenge is going great even though I only got in 27 yesterday 😬 i went hard these last 2 days knowing Thursday is a no gym day...
